I've been visiting this particular Tim Hortons on Alta Vista Drive, ever since 2016. Potentially 2015! I suffer chronic amnesia, please bear with me!
Out of all of the times that I've been there (which I honestly have no clue the number of but it was definitely plentiful!), staff has been friendly, polite, and they treat you with respect. There are definitely some folks that I miss oh, but there are few friendly faces and not just from the Tim Hortons!
I would highly recommend them, but this is not an ideal location for larger parties. It is very small. Granted, the only reason why I don't write them five stars? Because there are only two comfortable, soft on the posterior and spine, chairs.
That would be pretty much it! Don't forget, that there are a lot of great stores in the mini Plaza, and Tim Hortons has been a staple there for some time. If I recall correctly, chronic Amnesia permitting, the owners of that Timmies has put in a requisition with the city of Ottawa to rent out that location for a minimum of at least 21 for 25 years!
Oh! There is only one spot for handicapped parking, but there is the slanted sidewalk alongside it, making it rather easy to get onto the sidewalk portion, and using the accessible buttons, they may easily enter the establishment.
Apparently I lied earlier! There is a second reason I do not give this location five stars. It's because even though they have a handicap accessible entrance to the restaurant side of the establishment, their bathrooms while they have the handicap sign up on the door, do not have accessible buttons to open them. They are rather heavy, hard to open especially if you have to put your weight into them.
Once again though, the service has always been A Cut Above and one of my two favorite locations of Timmies, within the capital! I'm looking forward to my next visit, especially since it'll be to hang out for tea / coffee date and not my waiting spot for Para Transpo once I've had my head drilled into repeatedly at the Dentist's office!
P.S. I highly recommend if you were ever a fan of the official Slush Puppies drink, to try out Timmies' new Slushies! Thanks to the recommendation by one of the employees at Tim Hortons on my visit last week, I dared to do a mix of the two available flavours which are Cherry and Blue Raspberry.
There is a specialty flavour out for the summer, the Jolly Rancher Slushy which tastes exactly like Watermelon Jolly Rancher candies...But watermelon and I do not mix, consume at your own discretion! (YUCK! lol)
The mix of the cherry and blue raspberry, creates this silvery looking violet that is super pretty, and kind of blew me away! I grew up with a convenience store that was one house and across the street from my place, who used to have the original Slush Puppie machine.
I was crestfallen as a young child when they removed it due to too much theft and vandalism. Not to mention the mess every time it broke down. I was there maybe several years ago or so, and some of the stains are still on the floor! LOL Yet low and behold upon one of my many travels on my bike, I discovered a convenience store practically in the middle of nowhere that not only had the original Slush Puppie machines, but they had all of the flavors!
Tim Hortons' Slushies definitely did the original battery drink Justice! It's rather difficult to find places that still sell the original Slush Puppies, but in Canada you can't even finish saying your regular drink in the morning, before coming upon yet another Tim Hortons!
Cheers,

Ottawa - ON
I want to start off this letter by acknowledging how much effort is made when working in the service industry; being someone who has worked at such a role a few years ago I understand the back end and the expectation a manager or owner of a franchise expects of its workers. I would like to raise a complaint that has only arisen in the last few months, I live in the area and I go to your Tim Hortons location for many years now. I noticed in the last few months that the attitude has changed towards the customers; I have noticed rude behavior from some when I make an order. I have had countless attitudes towards me and a friend (a witness) was there. I have documented the last few weeks interactions. On Friday April 22nd Me and my Friend made a drive through order of donuts and coffee (we had three kids with us) as we approached the window one of my kids decided he wanted a different donut so we added that at the window. The lady who took our order showed us attitude and as soon as we were done she said you can go. On April 26th I made a drive through order with another friend (another witness); we requested some changes to a certain wrap you sell. My friend noticed that instead of following our request they had charged us for the Hash brown that comes in the sandwich ( that we asked to be removed and added to the side. reason is the kids will not eat them for another hour and the hash brown gets soggy in the sandwich; I have made this order many, many times and I never faced an issue). We were asked if we could come inside to discuss the order (which is ridiculous; I never seen any other fast food place ever ask a customer to come inside but we happily agreed and did not think much of it). When inside we found that they had made the wrap and included the hash brown in the sandwich and had added extra charge of another hash brown to our order. We reexplained the order again and we were told that what we are ordering is complicated (which is rude to say to a customer). In the end we took the wrap they made and they returned the hash brown back into the heating container which I know is a contamination issue as they had already handed it to us. On April 27th I made a drive through order of coffee; at the window the worker did not even look our way; kept speaking to his coworkers in a different language and his head was facing them while handing us the POS machine and later our order. This is impolite and is considered rude as the customer might think you are speaking about them given that they were giggling.
Kindly take this as an opportunity to improve behaviour towards your customers. I look forward to better service. I will be documenting any future concerning interactions with your location and dating them as well as the name or description of the person. Kindly be advised any future complaints will be sent to your hiring Upper Manager.
