First of all,I felt so bad that my brain wasn't function so well that I left the 3 dollars for tips on my bill. Should have asked the male server tonight to exchange the 10 or 20 dollars bill so I can tip him a little more (to him and the owner who asked us if we need hot tea on this cold fall day). Much appreciated.

The waiter today have helped us feel very much welcomed in the store (even tho he was a little bit shy to my observation). Very informative when we asked him for recommendation and very nice guy. If I was anyone who have had bad experience about the food, I wouldn't be mad if he was the waiter. The food was quite okay, there are some food option that we really like from VietNam but couldn't be found in AB, this definitely a +. The flavor was Okay not bad but also not the top (we had hủ tiếu xào aka stir fried large size noodles and thịt kho tộ aka pork stew in hot bowl). For hủ tiếu xào I like the sweet of the cabbage mix it to the sauce, couldn't go wrong l. Too bad that I was expecting more sauce and thicker texture. The large size noodle from my point of view was not handmade, if was a little bit more cook to get darker color and smoked smell, it would be awesome like what would be done exactly in Chinese restaurant in VietNam. For thịt kho tộ, I can smell and taste the pepper as what it should be for this kind of meal you would have. Only a - point was the color was a bit muddy deal to ingredients they add to the bowl. The pork was sliced like beef was maybe a little bit not what you would expected from this dish in VietNam but that wouldn't be a problem to my experience. The place was well organized in bright and clean. Parking was a bit tough. In general, a 4++ (4,4) and I would recommend friend to come try. (Just the food haven't stand out too much to...

This is the place I go when I need comfort food. I have been going to Vietnam Palace since 1998. Stopped there on a rainy day because I needed to eat supper and I happened to pass by. Little did I know I would discover one of the best Vietnamese restaurant on the east coast of Canada. Both the owners and staff have been and remain some of the sweetest people you will find in the business. After 4 years away from Canada, I came in and was instantly recognized by Lin, server and member of the family that owns the place. For a long time, I would order the same dishes, because they were home runs. The chicken with mushroom was the first dish i tried there and I keep ordering it. My absolute favorite main dish is the beef in curry and coconut sauce - it is the most addictive thing ever. Oh did I mention they have the best spring rolls in Ottawa (possibly Ontario)? Even if you're on the fence, try an order (or half an order) of their nems (or crispy spring rolls). Made with crab meat, pork and veggies, it comes with the traditional lettuce, mint leaves and pickled carrots. The dipping sauce is also heavenly. I usually keep the left over dipping sauce and pour it over the steam rice. I have slowly tried to venture out to other dishes, and every time I try something different, i"m blown away by the quality of the food and how refined their flavours are. This is a must try restaurant in Ottawa. It's in my book of staples. They upgraded and extended their dining room in the last 5 years, looks amazing. They opened a second location on the Hull (Gatineau) side, which serves up equally as good food, but with service in French. I would rate this place a 10 out of...

This is the best Vietnamese restaurant I have been to. They have a great selection of food choices, but if you like wrap & rolls (Vietnamese sizzling steak that’s similar to a fajita but waaaay better! ), there is nowhere else that does (or can) do it better. If you haven’t tried it, you’re really missing out on a fab dish! We’ve been going for decades, we’ve tried different dishes & over 90% are really good. The wrap & roll and corn soup are our must orders, then it’s whatever else we decide to try. If there are left overs we just take it to go! :) If you call them they are also great about picking up orders too! It use to be our go to date night place, now we bring our families & friends there. They’ve updated over the years, it looks great, it’s as clean as ever, but it’s the food that always brings us back... We’ve introduced many folks to this restaurant/type of cuisine, everyone raves about it & they come back. Because of Covid/busy lives we haven’t been there for awhile but I’m definitely heading there soon, perhaps this week?! The craving for this place is unreal. Thank you for your...

My favourite "go-to" when it's cold outside and I'm feeling under the weather is a hot bowl of pho soup. Somerset street west is home to some of the best vietnamese pho restaurants, and last nights pick was Vietnam Palace, the prices and portions are great, and the flavour is on point (the wonderful healing powers of pho). We enjoyed every bite and slurp. I'm sure we would have enjoyed it even more, hot right out of the kitchen but we were pleasantly surprised that everything was still hot when it arrived. They have a good menu selection, something for everyone! This is a must try!! #supportlocal #ottawafoodiestalker

Very lovely restaurant with a good variety of Vietnamese food. Had a large group 12 people for dinner. The staff was very attentive and polite. The quality of the food was very good. Menu selection is the standard affair as most Vietnamese restaurants but the presentation was better than usual. The prices of the food items is quite reasonable but you will get your best value if you order the combos and come with a group. I would recommend getting dinner for four. You'll have 2 starters and 4 main dishes to eat from.

Vietnam Palace offers an exquisite journey through Vietnamese cuisine. Each dish is a masterpiece, blending fresh ingredients with authentic flavors. The pho is exceptional, the spring rolls divine, and the ambiance warm and inviting. Impeccable service complements the culinary delights, making it a gem for food lovers. I forgot my bag with my wallet inside at this location the night before and picked it up the next day. Everything was intact. It’s now one of my favourite spots.
