WingsUp! Kanata — Restaurant in Ottawa

Wings in Canada attempt number 🤷‍♂️. I'm assuming WingsUp! is the Canadian version of Wings Over. Was in Ottawa to see some friends & other hobbies, but had time to kill so decided to find some wings. This place came up and has a 4.9 rating on Google Maps, so figured it couldn't be too bad.

Quite an extensive sauce menu, but went with their hottest, the Sweatin Bullets. Their wings are breaded, and on the menu it tells you that you can order specifically less saucy, more saucy, more crispy, etc. I just let them do their thing...best to know what their "standard" cook is.

Definitely some of the meatiest wings I've had anywhere in Canada. Sauce was sticky, and the bits with the "Red Caribbean" pepper were HOT, but delicious...I'm thinking they're scorpion peppers. Not very crispy, but the meat was firm & juicy enough that the softer breading was ok. Can't chew overly hard currently so that was honestly alright with me.

$21 CAD/$15 US for 1lb wings and potato wedges (which were some of the better wedges I've had). Overall, no world beaters, but definitely better than the majority of wings I've tried in Ontario & Quebec so far. Felt like I received good value and...

With its 100% fresh and never frozen Canadian chicken, WingsUp! has set itself apart in the chicken wing game!

We tried both chicken wings and bites, one with Honey Garlic Parmesan sauce and the other with Honey Hot sauce. We loved both, but the Honey Garlic Parmesan was by far the winner in our books for most addicting flavour!

We also tried their new Tortilla Chips with cajun seasoning and they were great! Crispy but still light. The Smiley Sandwich was also tasty and very tender with the Mild BBQ sauce between cheesy garlic bread buns. The potato wedges with lemon pepper seasoning also hit the spot!

Last but not least, we tried their new Cinnamon Sugar Mini Donuts. Fluffy and a nice sweet ending to a chicken feast!

If you’re a chicken wing lover, you need to try this place! The food is cooked only when ordered, so it’s nice and fresh! And with 16 different sauces to choose from, you’re bound to find one you’ll love! Treat yourself like their motto says! Great service and...

The place was very clean, it was our first time there and the workers were very informative and helped us with any questions we had. the food was amazing chicken was done well, portions were bigger than expected and the sauces were very good, will be going again. The food is fresh each time nothing is premade. I would reccomend trying a smiley sandwich wont regret it. (boneless chicken wings, wedges and smiley sandwich)

update: got wingsup again and tried more sauces as much as i loved the GARLIC BARBEQUE more traditional and sweet you have got to try the TEXAX TEQUILA BOLD it is amazing, and the JAMAICAN HOT is so spicy but man does it have amazing flavor.

update: just purchased the jamaican hot sauce...
