Winner House Chinese Food — Restaurant in Ottawa

Christmas Day plans were to have a Christmas meal at the Mandarin, unfortunately we didn’t have reservations and were turned away. (FYI I did call the Mandarin the day before to inquire and was not informed about ensuring I had a reservation). Long story short we are from out of town and now we’re in Ottawa grumpy and hungry, HANGERY!!! My husband searched google to find a place for food and we hit many dead ends. Then he found Winner House, so we took a chance and showed up right at 3pm when they opened. We ordered quite a bit as we were hungry and really wasn’t sure what we’d like from this establishment. My expectations were exceeded. From the friendly ladies behind the counter to the appearance and taste of food I’m am impressed. If you want great service and great food, order from Winner House. Ordered spring rolls, special chow mein, crispy lemon chicken, and sweet Thai chicken. Delivery was quick! Peppers in the meals were nicely cooked and fresh. The rest was meh.

The chow mein didn't have chow mein noodles - it's essentially a full container of bean sprouts (which it doesn't mention in the description) with

Where do I begin.

We make a big order tooooday. Paid two dollahhh fifty ($2.50) to add SHRIMP to the chicken order

Oder 1: 4 chicken pieces - 1 shrimp (This is visible in top left corner of the photograph)

Edit #1: found another shrimp - so 2 shrimp, still eating, will update if more are found.

Edit #2: no more were found. Sadness ensues

Order 2: 4 chicken pieces - 3 shrimp

Orders were for medium / mild spice. I was with white guy, maybe they racially profile him and completely remove all spice from the order. It had no medium spice, or low, it had no spice.

Giving 2 stars due to quantity, the food being hot and the noodles...
