Thai Express Restaurant Barrhaven Nepean — Restaurant in Ottawa

My problem with this restaurant is the inconsistency. One day their food is awesome and the next day its absolutely disgusting. A week ago I ordered Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. Both were delicious and made to perfection. Just last night I ordered the same thing and both dishes were barely edible. Noodles were overcooked and turned to mush. Both dishes were also flavourless.. It's like Russian Roulette each time I order. I'm getting to the point where I'm going to stop giving my money to a place that can't seem to get their act together. McDonalds is unhealthy and pretty gross if you're not craving it but McDonalds is consistent with their quality of food and the way they prepare it. Most fast food franchises are. This place should fall in line. This message is going out to the owner. I've given you so much of my hard earned money for food that I can't even eat and I feel like I've been swindled by you. Their customer service is very, very poor. Although I understand that the “Skip the Dishes” app is new to this area and there will be bugs, it seems like our order error was a mistake on their part. They brought the wrong order to our home and when we got a hold of someone there finally, he wasn’t concerned at all we didn’t get our food. He was more worried that what we got was not our order, but another customers and he made sure to tell us it belonged to someone else like he was going to try and re-deliver this to the correct customer. It’s not like we touched the food, but that’s incredibly unprofessional. Then, he asked us to come and drop the dish off to him and pick up our correct order....... ummmm hello, we ordered a delivery service. He kept telling us to come pick up the food and we told him that’s stupid, no. He then just brushed us off saying, I’ll call you back. It’s been 10 minutes since we last talked to them. On Feb 2, 2021 around 6pm I went to Thai Express with my daughter to pick her up some dinner. We stood at the cash waiting to place an order for several minutes I unacknowledged. The clerk behind the counter accepted several orders from various at home delivery requests...still not acknowledging us. While we continued to wait we watched him use his gloved hand to touch the various devices accepting orders, removing receipts and closing the cash register. He then used this gloves hand to handle the takeout dishes and the proceeded to use this same gloved hand to reach into the various vegetable bins to fulfill the orders.

This kind of practice is absolutely disgusting and the place should be shut down for improper handling of food and clear violation of health and safety practices. Not to mention the fact we are living through a global pandemic that is killing people.
