Wendy's — Restaurant in Owen Sound

My entire life I remember this being a quick friendly place to grab food in town. Always our number one spot to go to. In past couple months it is completely unrecognizable. It is unbelievably slow to the point I watched three cars leave the drive thru and go to A&W. I actually had the person ask me “is there anyone there??” I said, yes and 4 other cars behind me, she went “oh. what do you want” - they aren’t even watching the drivethru - what are you doing inside?? The staff don’t even look at you or acknowledge you, and they don’t speak english - they get orders wrong even if you talk at half speed and repeat yourself 3 times. Extremely frustrating. Also it’s NOT cleaned nor do staff wear proper kitchen wear. Watched the guy making my burger with huge unkept beard and shaggy hair not wearing hair nets or gloves, then scratch his head. I’ve tried to give it a chance many times but we are done. Talking with friends and family they all said the same and gave up on Wendys in Owen Sound completely. A true shame. Just like Burger King in town. Staff don’t speak english, they get orders wrong, it’s never clean and now it’s abandoned. Wonder how long for...

Thankfully I only had to visit this place once as I was visiting family in the hospital and I'm from out of town, luckily I don't live here and only have this location to go to.

It took forever to place an order. Only 3 ppl in front of us, it was sooooo slow. I've been to other locations with more customers, delivery drivers, and drive-thru and had faster service. Opal was providing turtle service. She was hard to understand and not friendly in any way.

The drink station was messy and unorganized, and the counter and the floor were really sticky. There were no napkins also.

My Daves single with cheese was soggy, it went into the trash, the poutine's had hardly any gravy on them, so the cheese curds didn't melt, both poutine's were very salty we didn't eat them, what a waste of money. My kid ate their cheeseburger, and I ate my side ceaser salad, but the rest went to the garbage. I don't like complaining in person anymore as I'm anxious about being recorded or being called "Karen".

After waiting 10 minutes, and having 5 different people attempt to take the order of the customer in front of us (which was literally chicken strips and a poutine) we had to basically argue with the cashier when placing our order. We wanted a baked potato as the side in a combo yet he wasn’t understanding us. We didn’t even get our sour cream for it and our fries were barely full. The prices on the menu board were also cheaper than the prices that were coming up in their system. Not a single employee was wearing a hair net OR beard net, and the 2 girls working on the pack line had their hair down in ponytails whilst preparing food. The manager was also constantly touching his hair, face, and pulling his pants up with his gloves on that he then proceeded to touch food with the same gloves, and did not change them a single time that we were in there (for probably half an hour by the time we had our order taken and got our food). Hopefully Public Health can help straighten this...
