Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience ordering takeout here a few nights ago. When we showed up, trivia night was just getting started but it was incredibly loud. To the point that I had to stand outside and my husband noted people from the kitchen actually came out into the dining area with WTF faces about the noise. We sat about 30 feet from the restaurant waiting for our takeout and could clearly hear the trivia the entire time. Not a huge deal, but it made me very glad we weren't dining inside.

We waited over 30 minutes for our takeout order. All we got was a pizza and salad. The restaurant didn't seem overly busy so I was surprised about the long wait. To his credit, the host/server was very apologetic and thanked us for our patience, but only after 30 mins had passed and I went to check on the food. It would have been really nice if he had come out to let us know it was taking longer than expected or gave us an anticipated wait time when we ordered.

Sadly, the food was not worth the wait. We had asked for no red onions on the pizza and jalapenos on one side - neither of these requests were honoured. We also asked for no onions on the salad and there was a huge portion of them. The salad was also not dressed, which I guess is what they do for takeout, but it was a "modern" caesar salad where they just give you the whole head of lettuce, making it very hard to dress back at our hotel.

So after trying to pick off jalapenos, pick out red onions from under the pizza's melted cheese and scrape onions out of the salad, we were still not very impressed with the food. The pizza was just okay - not much meat or flavour, some burnt parts. The salad was also not great, especially since the dressing was so uneven.

This place had been recommended for their pizza and I'm sorry we didn't enjoy it. Maybe the BBQ and beer is better? But I'd avoid the pizza, salad, takeout and probably...

Disorganized Mess, Avoid. Arrived during dinner hours, came because it's dog friendly. Dog friendly patio is satellite from the main location and they make you order from the bar. Bar staff handed me menus, I stood aside to let two groups order and then approached immediately. Went to order food was told they closed the kitchen due to heat. Fair call for the staff and glad they are considering kitchen staff safety but seriously as a business maybe try making sure your AC is sized properly. It is June 30th and its 25 if that's your threshold maybe just advertise the kitchen closed for the summer because its a pretty normal temp. If you can't do service at 25 you probably need to reconsider your set-up, we are not talking record breaking heat here. Also maybe try warning people that you are considering closing the kitchen instead of just handing out FOOD menus. Walked there with the dog, no options given, no recommendations, no help. Disorganized, unfriendly and totally uncaring vibe. Maybe they are good to locals but as a visitor, did not get any good vibes at all. If your time is limited in Parksville this is...

We came at around 5pm and the place was popping. The patio was already full and the restaurant had lots of people inside. You order at the counter and you can either run up a tab or pay as you order.

We got the spread to share which is recommended and also a salmon burger with a salad. The spread was quite large and can definitely feed 3 people. The fries were so good. The corn bread was perfect. Not too dry or sweet. The fried chicken was crispy. The sides complimented everything perfectly. The pulled pork was a bit too dry. But other than that it was pretty good. We devoured the whole thing.

The beer wasn't really my cup of tea but to each their own. I love the flights so it gave you the perfect opportunity to try a bunch.

The girls at the front were super nice and helpful. The food didn't come out super fast but fast enough. There's also one bathroom in the back.

Overall loved the vibes here. There's not a lot of parking but you can park on the street as well. I can see why so many...

Walking into Mt. Arrowsmith Brewing Company is like stumbling upon a hidden gem where beer and BBQ converge. I ordered the brisket platter, because if you're not diving headfirst into slow-smoked beef at a BBQ joint, you're just not living. The brisket was everything you want it to be: tender, juicy, and rich, like it spent the night whispering sweet nothings to a smoker. Paired with their Jagged Face IPA, the brisket becomes transcendental, the bitterness of the hops cutting through the fat like a knife through butter. It’s a pairing that makes you wonder why beer and brisket aren’t legally required to be served together. This place doesn’t just serve food—it offers therapy by the bite. trust me, by the end of the meal, I felt like I’d been spiritually hugged. Beer and BBQ, you surely can’t go wrong!

It's certainly not the most enjoyable place to sit and eat a lunch, hard uncomfortable chairs in a very small cold environment. As for the food we ordered the chicken pizza with everything on it which was huge and absolutely loaded but it was too loaded as most of the ingredients were cool to cold while the pastry was cooked the actual pastry was very tasty and chewy and pizza like and thin crust they get 10 out of 10 for that while our friends ordered the gluten-free pizza which was a third of the size and very disappointing dry and crumbly can't recommend that particularly as it was the same price $23 as our pizza the staff were very friendly and obliging all in all is just the atmosphere there is very cool and impersonal not a comfortable or enjoyable place for lunch
