First off.. the young man who servered me when i cam for pickup, told me it would be a minute or two.. so i spend about 15 minutes, waiting around this "establishment" finally after having sat for awhile.. getting impatient i stood up, walked to the counter to notice my order had been sitting there.. going cold.. the young man was absolutely clueless. He should have let me know it was teady the moment it was done. First red flag.
Second red flag was the "broth" for their "medium rare beef noodle soup" if one can call it that.. it was NOT beef broth, let alone pho bone broth, and was waaaay over salted. Every dish we ordered was over salted.
Third red flag.. the "pad thai" was way to tamarindy, no other flavour, and the egg in it was clearly rotten, as my stomach has been upset and i have been burping rotten egg taste for 3 days since eating at this dingy diner.
AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! I wouldn't send my worst enemy here!
I recommend Smile Thai it is miles ahead...
Read moreWe ordered take out from here just now and I have to say it’s unimpressive. Thai is my favourite food and so I have eaten Thai food across the world and of differing quality. This is my first review of a Thai restaurant because it’s really not good. I chose to order here because of the above 4 star rating it receives in the reviews but the flavor of the food and value for money here is a 3 at best. $19 for a Pad Thai or a Pad See Ew that had no flavor and is quite small in size is far out of the range of what a $20 pad Thai will get you at 95% of places that I have gone to with a 4 star.
I got my daughter the fried rice and it’s more in the grocery store buffet level. It’s bland, basic and definitely far from what I would expect from a Thai Restaurant.
Unless there is something else on this menu that is excellent I would spend your money elsewhere until they pull their...
Read moreThe decor is nice, and the food is good. I ordered an appetizer (salad rolls) while waiting for my take home pizza next door. The rolls were quite substantial, and quite dry. The peanut dipping sauce is what made it possible to eat the rolls, but there was only one ounce of sauce, just enough for one of the rolls. I asked for another container of sauce which was all used on the second roll. I didn't waste a drop. Really a third ounce of sauce would have been perfect. When i went to pay, much to my surprise that tiny bit of sauce was an extra $2.90. I am used to getting a complimentary ounce of ketchup or mustard or sour cream in restaurants. When i mentioned it to the server, they said "I just work here", so I asked them to communicate that to their boss. A little more concern or interest would...
