The Kart — Restaurant in Parry Sound

The poutine is tasty but I was disappointed that some of my fries were undercooked.

Update : as I wrote, some of the fries were UNDERCOOKED. That means they were still hard ( not too soggy as you responded).

What I didn't mention was that, I was waiting, standing between both closed windows while the cook and server were inside because I didn't know which window to order from. A woman walked up from behind me and up to the right window, where the server opened her window and began chatting. It sounded like they knew eachother and i thought she may have been picking up an order until I heard this woman order for her family! I was on a lunch break from work on limited time and didn't appreciate your server not taking my order first since I had been standing there first, regsrdless of knowing this other customer. So to get my order and rush home only to find some of my fries were undercooked (hard) was disappointing.

Trust me, I love nothing more than giving 5 star reviews and wish that was the case every time I choose to spend my hard earned money but unfortunately that's not always the case. All i can do is rate honestly, based on the food I'm served and my...

This is by far, the most exceptional battered fish I have ever had! The batter is light but so flavorful and a fabulous crispness that makes every bite delicious. Their tartar sauce is also light and fresh with a bright dill flavor. The fish itself is mild, flaky and tasty! I only did the one piece, but I wish I would have gotten two. The fries are plentiful as well. More than I could eat!

I do wish they had a few tables as there was just one, but everyone was so friendly and accommodating.

Fish and Chips are delicious at “The Kart”.

They’re located in the Canadian Tire parking lot and I must say it is a hidden gem. Got there for lunch time and the orders the two gentlemen were putting together are tasty, my goodness. Your choice if you want the salt on the chips, the two piece haddock fried to a nice crisp and tartar sauce with a lemon wedge !!! BLESS !!!

No seating and I did not want to eat in the civic, so I ate on the trunk of my car was too full after the two pieces of fish to finish my fries so I saved them for the road was heading to Sudbury this day so it was a great idea to take them to go. I will try the burger next time...
