Disappointing Dining Experience at KFC in Parry Sound
My recent visit to the KFC location in Parry Sound left me with a sour taste in my mouth, quite literally and figuratively. After a long day out with my hungry kids, we decided to grab a quick dinner at this establishment. Little did I know that our meal would turn into a frustrating ordeal that tested our patience and left us feeling extremely disappointed.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were asked to wait in the parking lot for 35 minutes while they prepared our order. Despite my kids' growing hunger and impatience, we complied with their request, hoping for a freshly prepared meal. However, when the clerk finally emerged to deliver our food, we were informed that our order had to be remade because the cook had dropped all of our chicken on the floor. The thought of waiting another half an hour for our food was disheartening, especially considering my kids were already starving and it was nearing their bedtime.
This incident not only showcased a lack of professionalism on the part of the staff but also highlighted a systemic issue with the operations at this particular KFC location. It is unacceptable for such careless mistakes to occur, especially when customers, particularly children, are involved. This is not the first time I have experienced such issues at this establishment, and I have lost faith in their ability to provide a satisfactory dining experience.
As a customer who values efficiency, quality, and respect for my time, I have made the decision to avoid returning to this KFC location in the future. Consistency and reliability are key components of a successful restaurant, and unfortunately, the Parry Sound branch of KFC has failed to meet these basic standards. I urge the management to address these recurring issues and strive for improvement to regain the trust of their customers.
In conclusion, my visit to KFC in Parry Sound was marred by long wait times, unprofessionalism, and a disappointing dining experience. And one of my poor kids screamed himself to sleep on an empty stomach now. Absolutely awful! I hope that my feedback serves as a reminder for the management to prioritize customer satisfaction and operational excellence in order to prevent similar incidents...

One with a poutine instead just of fries we were told “no” so we said okay.. and continued our order after she asked what we wanted to drink we told her and once I said the second drink she asked if we wanted two? we said yes two boneless box combos one with a poutine so again she said “no poutine” so annoyed I asked why is there no cheese? not being offered an explanation why I couldn’t at till this point “yes!” Was the response then we get to then window and we are asked how we would like to pay, so we I tell them “oh we have a choice now? The lady at the speaker said cash only so we went and got cash but if I can let’s do debit.” “No cash only, sorry” why ask me how I want to pay if it’s cash only and why is that not advertised only a note on the door saying “technical difficulties, drive thru only” it’s a real shame we would love to have a genuine kfc experience again so we give them a try every time they reopen from being closed hoping it will be but unfortunately it’s always a negative experience. It looks like we will have to go to other KFC locations to enjoy what was once enjoy able finger licking good chicken. The mostly same crew, comes from the Barrie KFC, store, I did notice, there were some locals working in the store. I returned upon opening 3 times now, to get a chance to have the KFC tradition. 3 strikes now, we are done with this location.
cold chicken outdated salads very rude front line wrong orders improper chicken pieces 12 pc. 6 rib,6 drum other buckets; cold & hot in same bucket, grease pit in bottom. most skin peeled off, appears reuse/re- heat chicken fries never same taste, soggy and crisp fries it appears re heated mix, old- new
-Fridays hrs., not sure if this is a special day for this owner, but come on, close at 6pm, cause, we have to go back to Barrie, they not gonna drive in the dark ????? closed at 5pm, due to debit machine down, I guess cash, is not accepted anymore close 5: 30, we don't have a cook???? our machine is not working, WHAT machine????, it's a deep frier was in drive through, aprox. 30 min, got to the order screen, I'm sorry we are closed now. Rude rude, it's only 6: 55, no its 7:05, there were 5 cars behind me. Who CLOSES, at 7pm, on Fri. We had long day, and have to drive back to Barrie ?????? chicken pieces, I have never seem before, nor figure out what the piece was, then have a piece, close to the size of half a chicken????? I think this location needs training, close monitored by head office, replaced, with a properly trained staff follow KFC, store hrs. -higher more local crew members increased Customer service, by intense CSR If not close store, reopen with new crew, not from outside of area.Store already has bad reputation, why continue, NEED SERIOUS...
