We visited today from out of town. I was with two clients I serve who have special needs. One of the people was working hard to communicate his wishes for his sandwich and the young woman behind the counter did not understand him (and he communicates well and clearly, It was just a bit of confusion over what was going on his sandwich). My advice would be "fix your face". She made exceptionally rude facial expressions of confusion and misunderstanding while elbow jabbing her co-workers in a "take a look at this guy" kind of way. Which which was felt very deeply by the person she was meant to be serving. In fact, it was so upsetting that it impacted the rest of his day having been made to feel foolish and mocked. I was right there, she could have said she didn't understand or asked for clarification or asked me for help. Instead, she made a mockery of a customer because of her own ignorance and lack of service skills. Super disappointing. Read moreThe old decrepit toasting oven is out of order and there’s some junk equipment piled at the front door. What kind of place is this? Washrooms are nasty. The three dining room tables were filthy and the place was empty. Some general equipment maintenance and housekeeping will go a long way. Now to the food…bread was over-baked and the veg was wilted and not fresh. I called the store to clarify, but the staff was rude, unprofessional, and even started shouting instead of listening or trying to help. Very disappointing experience.
