Hidden Gem on the Water! The Blind Angler Grill absolutely blew us away! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and seated with an unbeatable lakeside view. The ambiance is cozy yet vibrant—perfect for a relaxing evening or a special occasion. The food was the real star of the show. We ordered the pan-seared halibut and the maple-glazed salmon, and both were cooked to perfection—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Their signature cocktails were also a hit, and the dessert (do not skip the crème brûlée!) was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Our server was attentive and friendly, offering great recommendations and making sure everything was just right. You can tell the staff takes real pride in their work. If you’re looking for an incredible dining experience by the lake, The Blind Angler Grill is a must-visit. We can’t wait to come back!

Little place tucked away just off the highway. Great atmosphere overlooking the water with the marina right there. Our server Kat was so courteous and helpful and the food was fantastic and filling. The spicy version of the Calamari was really tasty and the Chipotle Dip was my favourite! Gotta come back and try that with the Yam Fries.

Non canadians or Non Locals Alert ‼️ Long review ahead.

Me and my family just went to this restaurant.I searched for a great restaurant and of the restaurant appearead online is this.We went there to do our celebrations for mothers day and my birthday too.Since I read an excellent reviews on the first page of their "restaurant review online" It made me decided to go there all the way from Kelowna just to be special. The location was great the restaurant is nice there is no doubt there. But it doesn't mean that the whole picture including the service and their treatment to their customers are good too especially for those first timers, non locals or even same race.

We arrived there around 2:40pm And I ask if we can take a table for 5.I understand that on of the staff their told us that they are in the transition of menu and shifting schedules and ordering of the food wood start at 3pm and that is very find for us because we already love the place..She let us sit down right away and gave a water while waiting and thats the start of not long but very very long waiting.

At exact 3pm we asked one of the server if we could order now and she apologized that it could be another 15mins because they not yet done preparing for something. And I said its ok.after that she didn't come back even she walking around the restaurant and taking other orders for the customers who just arrived. We are wait patiently until I noticed that other table on my right side which is same time with us arrived they done already with their food, and they are paying already and the server is already cleaning their table for other customer. My husband raised his hand just to get their attention so thag we could make an order because its already 1hr ago since we came there. The place its nit that big and not tnat crowded I don't see any reason why they are not coming to our table if we have a concern or do we have an order already which is obviously there isn't anything on the table.

There is one lady who looks wondering why we haven't anything yet except for water while everybody else is eating and finishing their food and the other server is taking order for those customers who just arrived at that time.Shw went to the bar as if she is asking if someone else took an order from us.Of course the answer is none!!And still another time of waiting for 4orders and just burgers only took more than 15mins.

We felt so pity our selves.we felt like we are begging to ask for their attention just to order and eat their food..the happiness that we have when were going suddenly turned into very disappointing experienced .We felt very discriminated because we are only the non locals or should I say Non Canadians!.I don't know.

I felt very sad that I almost cried when I was cancelling our orders because it past 4pm already and to think that I am with my 2year old toddler.

Maybe it has a good reviews for their tegular customers, their locals, their same race but definitely it won't be good for...

My friends and I were beyond outraged at the abhorrent treatment we received at this restaurant - it was an outright display of RACISM.

Upon entering the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, we saw a few tables available, including one in the center. As the server tried to seat us there, the owner rudely interjected and shouted "DON'T place them in the corner!" We tried to brush it off, thinking that maybe the table was reserved, but there was no visible sign indicating that.

After being seated at a corner table, we noticed a window table being vacated by another party. We politely asked our server if we could move there instead, since we hadn't even ordered yet. However, she told us that she couldn't move us due to their new POS system and that we were already slotted in our current location. We reluctantly agreed to stay put.

But within two minutes, a white couple sitting adjacent to the coveted window table asked to be moved. Despite having food and drinks already served, the owner/manager readily granted their request, even telling them to take their cutlery with them. It was painfully obvious what was going on - we were being discriminated against.

When the owner finally approached us to take our order, we explained the situation and how we were told we couldn't move. She tried to pass the blame onto the server, claiming that she was new and didn't know how to operate the system. But we weren't buying it at that point and made the decision to leave. The owner simply shrugged and said "fine, have a good day."

As we walked out, one of my friends pointedly told the owner that she should put up a sign declaring that the restaurant ONLY WELCOMES WHITE PEOPLE. But the owner ignored her comment and didn't acknowledge the uncomfortable truth. And to add insult to injury, the other guests in the restaurant, all of them white, didn't say or do anything to support us!!

I have lived in the Okanagan for two years now and have never experienced such blatant racism and discrimination anywhere. I strongly advise any person of color to steer clear of this establishment. Shame on these people! It's 2023 and this kind of bigotry should not be allowed to exist in broad daylight on a Sunday afternoon. I hope this business pays dearly for their actions -...

on January 18th our car broke down in Peachland on Hwy 97 at the worst possible spot ! We didn't feel safe staying in our vehicle , it was freezing cold standing outside waiting for a Tow truck to arrive . We noticed a little restaurant from up on the Hwy called "The Blind Angler" my wife and I climbed down the bank and walked to the restaurant , when we arrived we noticed it wasn't open for another hour , as we were standing there a gentleman came outside busy getting ready for the day , he said they were not open until 9:30am , we explained our car broke down and were freezing waiting for the Tow Truck to arrive .

He "Ben" then said oh gosh come inside and warm up , no problem ! We were so grateful to just be able to be in a warm environment but once seated we were offered a cup of coffee and even a snack if we wanted , we gladly accepted the offer for coffee and sat and had a great visit with Ben and Christie , I hope I got Christies name right ! Eventually the Gentleman from BCAA arrived , picked up our keys and told us to stay there and would come and get us once our car was loaded on ! We sat and chatted for a while longer until we were ready to go .

The kindness that was shown was so amazing , not only did we have a cup of coffee "They wouldn't let us pay for !" we got to experience humanity at its finest !

We look forward to our next visit To "The Blind Angler" !

Ben and Christie ...Thank You so much for your kindness and hospitality ! Will not be...
