Second Cup Cafe — Restaurant in Penticton

Says drive-thru is open until 6pm. It’s 5:02 right now and we didn’t have anyone in the drive-thru answer us and when we pulled up to the window, the barista inside hid from us. Signs posted in the window and menu (which was lit up) that said their hours are different for Fathers day weekend but it’s Friday… Not Saturday or Sunday. If the hours were different, the barista could have just kindly told us so instead of hiding. 🙃 I’m a bit confused as we’ve always had amazing service before but something has changed in the past month. All of our drinks we’ve ordered from here on Uber Eats have been terrible lately too. No flavour, just milky. Terrific 1st Experience! Popped in around 3:20pm, and was thrilled to see a line up of customers, along with six guests seated at the tables. Devin was delightful taking my order. Renee, one of the owners, shared the upcoming hours, staffing, etc. Met a new friend/neighbor, also on the South side of town. I literally live a block away, and it's exciting to have this establishment on this side of town. I already feel like we have a heart beat back over here. I wasn’t able to work from my campsite due to poor reception, so I ended up spending two days working from this coffee shop—and I’m so glad I did. The staff and owner are hands down the friendliest and most outgoing I’ve encountered. I work remotely and travel often, spending a lot of time in coffee shops, and it was genuinely refreshing to feel so welcomed.
