I few months ago my son came from Quebec and we had a fantastic 'dog friendly' lunch at Tangled Garden 2.0 I ordered your Amber Ale there with my fish and chips, which is my favourite craft beer, available at Freshco in Cornwall. My son suggested we visit your brewery and there he bought my a 6 pack, 3 amber and 3 O'Canada Maple Ale to try. I loved it. I live in Monkland and a good friend of Rob Berkvens, owner of CDL Sugaring Equipment. I gave him a can and he loved it and we both want to promote your small brewery and in particular this beer. Rob said he tried other craft breweries attempt at making a Maple beer and some were so bad he dumped the can. However, he loved it and said next time he is in his other CDL facility in Perth he would stop by to pick some up. Both of us, seeing your small brewery would like to see you expand and I hope my review can help you get some new Perth Brewery lovers. And last but not least, at least see your O'Canafa Maple beer sold at Freshco or the LCBO. Sent with permission of...
Read moreThe moment we walked in the bartender greeted us with a big smile and started a conversation while she worked. The place has a Cozy atmosphere and if you like beer then this is a place you will want to visit more then once. We ordered a flight and for the first time I can remember there wasn't one included that I didn't want to finish. Some of the flavours I found a little too strong, I prefer a less is more approach so it can be discussed with terms like nuances or overtones but I still appreciated the beer crafted here flavoured or not. The brewer definitely has experience and has had time to tweak and perfect some of his works of art. A flight was not nearly enough to satisfy my craving once I tasted each one. The only thing that stopped me from rating this 5 stars was too little seating and lack of food. I will finish this by saying it stands out as one of the better craft brewery's I have visited....
Read moreTurns out this has been a thing since 1993, making it one of the oldest craft breweries in the province. But with only 23 uniqueeeees listed on untappd, it didn't seem likely that their bottleshop woulddddd be robust. Surprise! There were 17 beers on tap and to go, many of whiiich I had not tried despite theiiiiiiiir being LCBO staples.
I had thhhhe oister stout last night, and it was wonderful, though I still don't quite understand what an oister stout is. So my guess is, this brewery started in an era where beer drinnkers were less experimental than they may be today. They have high quality brands that they make and sell oveer and over again to people who want their expectations met time after time. And the fact of their managing not to be baught out by labat or molsin or sleeman for doing it is probably a ringing endorsement for the quality of the product and the passion of the...
