It takes so long to dine in and get your Swiss Chalet order here. Every time we go we wait quite a while to place the order and get the food, and there's usually something wrong with the order. And it seems they need to hire more knowledgable staff when it come to the Chalet menu, because the cashiers don't know the difference between the gravy and the chalet sauce. The food wasn't hot both times weve gone here, gravy cold, and the dinner rolls (which are the best part of the quarter chicken meal in my opinion) were cold and stale and hard as rocks. They're supposed to be warmed up. I've been a Swiss Chalet fan for years and years and I've noticed the quality goes way down when it's split with Harvey's. The quarter chickens seem smaller, and I don't remember paying extra for white meat in the past.. that kinda threw us off.
Anyways it would be nice if they opened a Swiss Chalet restaurant where they can focus on the quality of the food. I think people would feel more comfortable paying $$$ for dinners If the quality was good, but it's not going to be good if it's split attention...

Finally a manager by the name of Debbie was called to come in- rude and condescending towards us as customers and said it was against their policy to return funds for hair in food and my issue was with the company that delivers the chicken? Staff at this location need retraining and need to know that the customers are those who pay their pay-check. They refused any compensation until I put a complaint in on line and then they again apologized profusely and did offer a gift card to be mailed to me- the Renfrew County Health Unit was informed this morning of the complete disregard of the employees regarding the hair in the food- and will be following up. Horrible staff with no customer service skills, with the exception of the young man working the cash who was very polite...
Read moreOrdered 2 chicken dinners. Was charged extra for white meat. Wings on both orders non edible. Food was brought out in about 2 minutes and was JUST warm. Returned my plate back to the counter and asked for it to be heated up. Waited about 10 minutes for them to bring my plate back, only for it to be the same temperature as before. Don’t know if they microwaved it and left it sitting before bringing it back or what. Ate the food, but was not impressed. Besides being lukewarm, the fries looked like they were yesterday’s leftovers, with a lot of bits and pieces. When leaving, the young fellow asked if the food was better than the first time and we told him, ‘No’. He said he was sorry to hear that and said that he was sorry that he couldn’t do more.
