Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Petawawa

Brought the family for dinner this evening and was disappointed. We ordered the drinks and kids food first so they would be able to eat right away. I told the waitress my husband and I will order our food when the drinks come in order to move the kids food along faster. When the drinks came she quickly walked away without giving us a chance to order, that's fine, she had another table to wait on (the restaurant was fairly dead at this point though but was giving the table next to us a lot of attention). The drink I got was the Bellini fish bowl which is suppose to be a slushy but it came out as a regular drink which was disappointing.Several minutes later someone brings the kids food and asked if we need anything else and I told him my husband and I still had to order our food, he sent the waitress over a few minutes later. I ordered the honey dill fried chicken sandwich, when it came the chicken was grilled. I asked her "isn't this suppose to be fried chicken?", she quickly said "No, did you want it fried?". The sandwich has the word fried chicken in its name on the menu..I told her forget it because at this point the kids were almost done eating and they weren't going to behave long enough for another meal to come out. At the end of my daughter's meal we got the Sunday that comes with it, my daughter was happy to get icecream but we were unimpressed to see the Sunday consisted of two icecream scoops that were the equivalent of 1/4 scoops. I know it's petty to mention but between the service we received and quality of food/wrong orders all in one visit, I figured it was worth mentioning. Editing to add that they rectified the situation and gave us a solution that worked for both the business and ourselves. We just went to this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday tonight. My oldest son was super excited to let them know it was his daddy's birthday and wanted to help sing to him. The waitress was just like oh happy birthday. Now I know they used to do a birthday dessert, which seems to be a thing of the past unfortunately. The waitress was understanding when we asked for them to put in the kids menus to come out early for them to cool down quicker so my husband and I could enjoy our hot meals. Their meals came with our appetizer which ended up working out very well so they had something to eat while we ate our appetizer and meals. I'm glad we tried the garlic parmesan fries and our boys enjoyed their chicken fingers and fries. Our meals were great as well. The waitress did check on us but not a whole lot she did get my husband a new drink as well. They were polite. However I realized when I got home they didn't even give us an option for my children's dessert and with two kids I kind of put it on the back of my mind. Now I'm not upset about the birthday dessert too much. I'm more upset that I didn't even get the chance to receive our children's dessert that was part of the kids menu I wasn't even asked if they wanted the ice cream or grab and go. Which we would have gladly taken their cookie for the two kids meals. Depending how this is rectified we may possibly come back or I will go elsewhere for future...

First experience here was not great what so ever. Took our server 10 minutes to even visit us, we had our drinks, apps and mains all picked out by then. We waited for our drinks for 20 minutes, while we saw our drinks sitting on the bar, all the servers and bartenders just let them sit there as other drinks came up and went. We received out apps WELL BEFORE we even got our drinks or could flag down someone to get our drinks. Once we flagged someone down they said drinks were taking longer as they were waiting on glasses ( 20 mins really? Yet two of our drinks had already been sitting there), no one told us they were waiting on beer glassesI told her we ordered waters as well and those never came .. finally got drinks, food came ... one order was correct out of 3. Caesar salad was wrong, a side order was brought out but a large with chicken was ordered ( that got fixed). Second order was pasta with meat, that was wrong too.. told the waitress she shrugged it off and said she punched in a different pasta and added the extra toppings and walked away. My Caesar was fixed but the chicken was rock hard and cold. Not impressed, spoke with manager and explained. Our server never came back to our table, manager completed our bills and saw us off.
