Went on a Friday night, it was very busy. Servers seemed overwhelmed (not their fault) as there definitely wasn't enough staff to manage the number of customers they were dealing with. They seem to still be learning and figuring out their work flow (it's still pretty new, I get it.)
Didn't really know what to expect, almost feels like the place doesn't fully know what kind of establishment they are, it's definitely a sports bar though. There's tons of TV's everywhere with a big variety of sports on throughout - including inside the booths and even washrooms.
The acoustics were not very well though out in my opinion. With a lot of customers and no walls (aside from perimeter ones obviously) to break the sound up it gets extremely loud. We were yelling to hear each other even though we were sitting only a foot apart.
They seated everyone as close to the front as possible even though it felt super congested (squeezing past people's seats, there were major choke points where people couldn't walk by) even though there was lots of room in the back of the place. Several customers tried to go to the washroom and ended up having to walk all the way back around due to the choke points they created. We weren't seated at a booth, so not the best experience having to sit so close to other customers anyway.
Got our drinks within 5 mins, but it took about an hour after that to receive our food. No real issues with the food, not really worth an hour wait though. Prices are pretty good for what you get though.
I would probably only go back on a less busy day - Monday-Wednesday or something. The experience would likely be much better then or maybe it'll improve as the staff get more...

SEATING: Open concept, layout doesn’t lend to a good restaurant experience. Difficult to converse when the place is busy. (I recommend they renovate again and put higher partitions up around the booths to break up the noise). The waiting area before seating is cramped. This could be alleviated if the host/hostess were to remain at the front to direct new arrivals to a seat. They also need to be more honest with people in regards to the wait time. Tables should be clean and cutlery present for the amount of customers being seated, but this doesn’t always happen. Once I was forced to get up and retrieve my own cutlery. ORDERING: The menu is extensive and all the food looks delicious. But ordering at times is a disorganized process. I highly recommend ordering drinks and food at the same time. We found that ordering drinks first would extend the time it took to order food by 20min. FOOD: The food was delicious and presented well, but each time the food took an extraordinary amount of time to be brought back to the table. I don’t know where the break down is. Could be lack of kitchen staff or waitresses not checking order up? We waited over an hour. At times the food was not correct or the order had to be placed again, leaving half of the table without their food order. We were dropped our food and were missing a requested item and never got to ask about it because the next time we saw him he was taking one empty plate away over 20-25 mins later while the other person was still eating then seconds later showed up with the bill and debit machine. Still while the one person was still eating their food. Nothing like feeling rushed out! We asked for some time to finish and digest first. When looking at the bill, it was noted that there was a charge for the item that was never brought and we wanted to speak to him about it. He was no where to be found so we talked to the first staff we saw and explained our disappointment in our visit. This waiter quickly apologized and said the charge would be removed and went to find our waiter. He finally appeared and was very defensive, offered no apology, and was frankly quite rude. We were one of the one tables left in this section. There was no thank you, no have a good evening, no apology- not even small talk. I know everyone has a bad day- but this was just plain poor service and not what we are accustomed to at Castle John’s. He definitely did not embrace your motto on your website homepage.
