I ordered my meal through the Saigon Boys online Pick Up. I ordered the General Tao Chicken and the Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice. I have included pictures. Upon arrival of the location I noticed that the lot itself is not big but, it seems the customers are picking up their meals quickly so parking should be good. I noted on entry of the Ng Saigon Boys that there is dine in available but, I did pick up so I headed straight to the man at the counter. He greeted with a hello which was nice and after the greeting I told him my name for pick up. Handed my order and I was off. The General Tao Chicken was not spicy for me which is fine. It was good and general portion as well. For the Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice I opted to not have shrimp in the rice and I was pleasantly surprised they accommodated. In all it was good food no complaints. I think if I ate prior to driving home it would have been even better but, I liked that the food was still ready to eat when I got in. I would recommend a visit to this location and try their food. I have not ever tried Vietnamese food prior and I was glad...
Read moreI've been to a lot of Vietnamese food restaurants and this has to be one of the worst in terms of taste. Food was also really slow to arrive compared to other Vietnamese places. Pho was very basic and lacked that authentic Vietnamese flavour. We did not have any of their other dishes that were on the menu as "specialty" but most of them were Thai dishes so I wouldn't normally order those at a Vietnamese restaurant. There were several other customers in the restaurant and none of them ordered Pho, so maybe Peterborough locals know that it's not that great. (we travelled here from Vancouver where Pho options are plentiful). When we asked for "chilli peppers" the server said they didn't have them. This is really strange for a Vietnamese place. Basil on the side was also very lacking and we only got a few leaves (for 2 people).
We only finished less than half of the bowl because it just...
Read moreStopped here last night to grab food on the way home. Love vietnamese and found this place online with decent reviews. What a mistake and waste of money. The 2 house special vermicelli dishes were cold when picked uped even though I was there on time. The food quality is what was the biggest let down. As other reviews have said the meat quality is terrible and that is correct. Ordered the tom yum soup and it was terrible. Has this gross sour taste that seemed unlike other tom yums soups I have tried. Seemed like i paid $50+ for noodles. That werent even cooked properly as crunchy bits were found in the noodles for the soups. Overall I am upset I wasted my money here. I do not recommend this restaurant. Save your time and money. Many other choices that likely are better in...
