UPDATE The owner and his wife contacted my mother, asking why I was trying to attack them personally, when that was not the case I was stating my opinion so I definitely will not be attending this establishment anymore because of the unprofessional owners. iāve been attending this establishment for a very long time since I went to high school at Kenner and now it just looks very tacky. Thereās way too much going on. I couldnāt even sit comfortably in my seat because anytime I put my head back. There was picture frames behind me and it was just uncomfortable, the one and only waitress. she saved the experience by offering very helpful suggestions that saved us a few dollars she was extremely friendly and welcoming. I probably wonāt come back because it was a very long wait for the food. It just didnāt look appealing anymore and Iām meaning the decorating if they toned it down a bit it would be great. I understand they want to go with a 50s theme but just because itās in the 50s doesnāt mean it goes with your attire either change everything or donāt change anything.
I didnāt like the menus they were really unprofessional. They looked like they were just scratched out with a sharpie written on them. See...

For us 80s kids the 50s seemed like a long time ago.. my kids and folks in their 20s can't imagine it.. 70 years ago. The breakfast was disappointing.. small portions.. what tasted like frozen potatoes.. subpar
My suggestions.. drop the 50's.. keep the good time.. each couple tables could be a different decade.. some fresh paint.. a few themed prints.. collectibles.. update.. theme the menu.. disco poutine.. y2k dogs.. I dunno.. but reduce the number of dishes .. fix the tv.. play retro Saturday day morning cartoons.. make fresh potatoes.. bigger, better portions..
I know that there are new owners.. take my ideas or implement your own.. but staying status quo won't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām not really sure why this place is rated so highly. It is cute, decorated in a 50s style diner albeit a little busy and I thought it was promising, but thatās where it ended. The food was not great, a āwhistle dogā was literally a hot dog with a few bacon bits and shredded cheese on it, nothing else. The BLT was small, the fries average, and the Cesar salad bland and small. The worst part was this food with two cans of iced tea came to $45. Not to mention they only take cash, which you donāt find out until you go seek out paying your bill. There are much better places in Peterborough, clearly people donāt get out much. Highly disappointed given the Google...
