Queensway Restaurant — Restaurant in Peterborough

Have been eating here for several years and after today I think we are going to find another venue. My food came extremely overcooked and honestly the lady offered to get it replaced immediately . Although she could have been quieter about it and respected my no answer instead of pushing the subject. Got there early and as expected our coffee was luke warm at best . They have a coffee maker with a bad heating element that has needed repair for several years now . Drank our first cup then waited forever for a refill. That would be because instead of attending to her customers needs our server was chatting with one of the kitchen staff while she cut up potatoes. Not that we have come to expect anything close to good service from this particular server . That particular server the one in the Blundstone boots always appears as if she hates her job and her service reflects that . Finished our meal and finally gave up waiting for a bit more coffee because it was taking forever. To be clear I did not get my food replaced because I will absolutely not take any chances returning anything in a restaurant that’s my personal hang up . I have no doubt I could have with confidence at this establishment...

Very rude server under the tables aren't clean takes forever to get refills on coffee because they would rather chat and don't dare go ask for coffee she will be very rude and say I will bring it to you then continue to chat away. Cups are always dirty had something hard and white in the coffee. Asked for hot sauce instead of acknowledging she heard anything she walked away and said nothing so I went up to get it and she's like "are you ok" then I had to calmly explain that I only got it because you walked away and said nothing maybe say sure one minute or something so we know? Wasn't asked how anything was and when she finally did bring things over and I didn't say thank you cause this was a whole thing for some reason she would walk away and very loudly and rudely say you're welcome...what kind of place is that sucks because we have been here so many times without issue but reading other reviews maybe management should talk to this person my experience was Saturday the 30th around noon won't be coming back even after all that...

Was not a place i will ever return to. Place is really run down, not clean in places you expect to be. We used our own Lysol wipes to clean up the table to make it suitable enough for us to sit there. Food was just meh. Zero communication from the server on how to pay when you’re done. We waited for about 15 mins for her to bring our bill. She knew way before that we were done our not so great meals. After waiting so long we got mad and got up to go to the front to ask for our bill. She said yeah well you pay for it right here I don’t bring you a bill. We are from out of town. How are we supposed to know this. There is no signs anywhere. We ended up being late to get to our destination due to her not paying attention to the fact we were done and wanting to pay and get to our car. She wasted so much of our time and then she was rude about it. Parking lot is awful and dangerous. Only about 4 parking spots there. We would not recommend this...
