I had a terrible experience yesterday at the Harvey's on Water Street (Peterborough). I was highly disappointed with the customer service, food, and waiting time. It took 20 minutes before my order was taken and I was not even acknowledged, which I was fine with because I understand it was a busy time. However, the employee, who seemed like the manager, was extremely rude and kept telling his colleagues and customers to hurry up since he was trying to close the store even though it was only 8 o'clock and the store closes at midnight. He had a lot of attitude towards the customers and acted as if he was doing us a favor by giving us the food we paid for and was not respecting the patience that we were showing them. When I finally received my food, which was after another half an hour of waiting, there was no cutlery or ketchup, so I asked him for some and he got angry with his colleagues as the containers outside were empty. While paying for my food, I had asked for my fries to be well done, but when I got them, they weren't well done so I told him about them not being well done, and he replied that he was trying to close the store and he couldn't fulfil that request. He was visibly angry at me for reminding him of my request and didn't do anything to fix it and expected me to basically be okay with it. It was so embarrassing for me to stand there with him talking to me condescendingly in front of all the other customers. I've been in the customer service industry for a long time and understand the pressure of doing things on time and closing at an appropriate time, however, that doesn't mean one starts harassing customers into rushing and giving terrible customer service just because you're trying to close at a certain time. It was only 8/8:30pm, leaving them a lot of time for closing but he was acting as if our presence was delaying/stopping him from closing. I am a regular at this Harvey's as I love the food quality and the service has been great, which is why I was patient throughout my time there, but my patience was being taken for granted. Read moreWas at this location yesterday, and an order got mixed up, which happens. The one cooking was the in charge supervisor and she should be in a position that does not require human interaction.
She was very rude and tossing things around, one poor girl it was her first day and when she went to say something, this lady who you put in charge was rude and cut her off, stomping around. I was waiting for her to drop to the floor and kick and stomp her feet as she was acting like a toddler.
Her actions caused orders to back up and others to actually leave.
Another young lady stepped up and got things on track while she went to and stayed in the back.
You, like everyone else are in the bussiness of people,and in your business customer service. So treat people like people, we all make mistakes, you have put a boss in place, not a leader.
Remove that boss lady and promote the leader that stepped up and lead.
You have a great bunch of people there who deserve to be lead, not bossed.

My passenger was holding a smoke out the window (we didn't see the sign), guy working the drive thru rudely tapped on the window point to the sign, we apologized and put the smoke out, as he continued to tap the glass about 5 more times, had to say 10 times it was out before he would open the window. Once window was open he was extremely ignorant, only speaking to tell me the total. When we said sorry, thank you, or anything he didn't speak a word or even look at us. Every single time I come to this location, the staff members look irritated and unhappy. Clearly I'm not the first person to think this.
