Why would you ever go to Tim's when the Buttertart Factory exists??

Fresh made tarts, loaves, squares, pies and doughnuts, sweet/savory, these guys have you covered. They also have a nice selection of local honey, (try the ginger or lemon, you will not be disappointed) local jams, and local maple syrup.

The Chelsea buns are phenomenal. My husband bought a Skor/whipped cream filled doughnut today and it was hands down the best doughnut either of us have ever had. Do yourself a favour and try one, or six! I can't actually eat the doughnuts due to dietary restrictions, but it looked so good that I had to steal a bite that I didn't swallow. Very glad that I did!! I have worked in numerous bakeries in the past, but none delivered what these guys do.

The lovely lady working cash is always in a good mood and very helpful/knowledgeable about their products.

Added bonus, these guys are allowed to take tips, which places like Cobb's Bread do not allow.

I have comeTo this Bakery 6 times and four times now this place is closed b4 5pm ..I am from out of town but have loved the baked goods from the 2x I actually was here b4 4 pm .why do you close So damn early ? baked goods still on shelves/friges and workers walking around.dont you want to sell your goods? I purchase alot when I come to buy but I'm going to give up as I can't get here when I work till 5 and its the holidays! WHO CLOSES A BAKERY EARLY WITH PRODUCT STILL ON SHELVES TO SELL AT 4 PM 3 DAYS B4 XMAS?? You're not a bank. You make baked goods that people want to purchase I'm irritated because it'sA bakery and it's Christmas I happen to be in the area and your closed for the 4th time...

I absolutely love the Kawartha Buttertart Factory! I try to stop by every week after work. The quality of the ingredients, the richness of the flavours, and the generous portion sizes make their fritters, doughnuts, and cinnamon buns truly outstanding. In an age of shrinkflation, it’s refreshing to find baked goods that are not only delicious but also satisfyingly large. If you're looking for a real treat, try the cinnamon buns with cream cheese icing, they’re incredible. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and I really appreciate that they offer options for my daughter who has celiac disease. If you're lucky, you might even find some eclectic doughnut flavours that are to die for. A gem...
