I stopped by the location on Landsdowne to pick up some keto cupcakes for my son's birthday. Even though the hours listed meant the store should have been open, it was not. My son stopped in on his way to visit. He bought cupcakes (they were okay), a brownie (they threw it out) and he grabbed me a Jamaican beef pie because I'm gluten-free. The pie was horrible. the pastry was thin and cardboard-like. The filling did not bear any resemblance to a Jamaican patty, which is what one would hope for. It was greasy, and only tasted of turmeric. Even the colour of the beef was off-putting. There used to be a GF bakery near Lakefield which had excellent baked goods. This place is a no-go.

Met the owner and he was very friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service. Ordered gluten free, dairy free and sugar free desserts for a family dinner. Everyone raved about the peanut butter chocolate pie. The cookie dough squares were a hit also. I'm not a big fan of strawberry/rhubarb pie but I really enjoyed the one I ordered. I recommend ordering from them for gluten free and dairy free desserts. I will definitely be returning and trying their other dessert options. I also tried their pumpkin pie. Although it's not dairy free, it was very good also. FYI, best to pre order items from their website as they have limited items at their location. Although the sign says vegan, the owner explained how it was too expensive after covid hit to keep the vegan recipes, plus the market out in ptbo is too small for a private business. Everything is still gluten free though, and the man, oh how he made the experience that much better! He was easy to get along with, had a fantastic sense of humor, was lively, honest and positive. We probably spent a good 20 minutes just talking to him, grabbed some pies and cookies and went to enjoy the amazing treats! I can't say I've had anywhere near this kind of service since I was traveling abroad, I've definitely never had this kind of service in Peterborough. If I could give 100 stars, I would!
