KFC — Restaurant in Peterborough

I've been eating chicken from this particular location for over 4 decades, since I was a child (in my 50's now). In the last 2-3 years the quality of the chicken has been doing nothing but going down hill.

In these last 2-3 years, I'd order an 18 piece bucket once or twice a year only. Each time saying I'd give them 1 more chance when a fast food craving for something other than my usual McD's would hit and the desire for that "yummy" greasy chicken would hit.

The last time I ordered a bucket was April 2019 and, it IS THE LAST TIME that I will ever order KFC from this location, or any other for that matter. The quality of the chicken is absolutely terrible! Not only that, what you get is a total ripoff for your money anymore when you get such chicken.

I don't even know what they've done to it, or how they could make it so unlike what it used to be when it was excellent. The "breast" pieces are like these little half piece things from anorexic chickens that seems like rats have chewed them. All the pieces are smaller, next to no thick and tasty skin on any pieces. Completely NOT what KFC chicken was or is supposed to be.

KFC has become an unmitigated disaster and a personal nightmare for me specifically involving this location, since this is the KFC forwarded to for every delivery order in-town, and the one on Lansdowne does not pick up the phone. Every single order I’ve received from them in the past several months has been an utter mess—missing items, wrong items, cold food, and sometimes things so botched I’m left wondering if they even tried. Calling their so-called “Customer Service” is a joke; after waiting on hold for what feels like an eternity, I’m either met with hollow apologies or outright ghosted when they promise to “follow up.” Spoiler alert: they never do. Reaching out to corporate is even worse—radio silence under the same promises. The company has clearly abandoned all pretense of caring about their customers. They’ve perfected the art of mediocrity, wrapped it in corporate neglect, and served it up with a side of blatant disregard. It’s beyond infuriating. After directly comparing the satisfactoriness of each sandwich (side-by-side comparison) it is clear that Popeyes takes the award for best bun, sauce, chicken, pickles, quality, texture, taste, reliability, and all with a GREAT customer service and QUICK DRIVE THRU. incredible.

The customer service at KFC Chemong is unreliable and generally they are pretty unkind/negative. I used to drive for Skip the Dishes and they were rude to drivers, also rude to me as a paying customer. They must not have a very good work environment. Popeyes was the complete opposite experience, in a good way!

The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the staff is mostly women and they seem to run a tight ship. The managers are probably just massive...
