Pita Pit — Restaurant in Peterborough

Went to pita pit on Lansdowne around 12pm today. Saw multiple health violations while getting my pita. Lots of cross contamination/lack of experience.

While the girl was making my pita there was spilt ranch on the area where they prepare the pitas and she picked it up with her gloves and then proceeded to look to see if others were watching then she wiped it on her apron. I had fuzzies in my pita due to this which was disgusting!

Also while making my pita another coworker asked the girl making my pita a question and she pointed to another customers pita with product from my pita in her hand, almost dropping it into the other customers pita.

The girl on the grill had gloves on but she never changed them when she touched different meats/ vegetables. Due to this I had chicken in my Philly steak pita. She also didn’t change utensils nor clean the grill after using different meats on it.

The whole 30 minutes I was there not one person changed their gloves to prevent contamination.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I had to leave one today due to the absolute shock of how things were.

I will never be going to this location ever again! From now on I’ll be going to the George st N because they do an amazing job there and I’ve never had any complaints for over a year of going there.

Only reason I went was due to power outages. Hoping that all this was due to it just being busy but I doubt that...

Today we went to this location to grab two Flafal wraps small size, when the girl started making the wraps, firstly it could not properly open, the wrap was torn apart, but still she started putting veggies into it and then sauces, when she started wrapping it, it fell apart, all the veggies came out, she asked if its ok to give me the large size wrap instead of small , i said ok but i saw she took the veggies from the old wrap and put it into the large on, i asked her if i can get more veggies because obviously it was large wrap, but she refused to give me extra veggies and moreover that was not our fault that their steamer was not working, they could have told us before that they do not have small size wraps, i asked her for the refund she also refused to give me the refund. Today was horrible experience with this location, never going back to this location. I left the food over there and came back withoud getting a refund. I would like to get my refund as i do not want to deal with the lady working...

Times change and this is why I have to review my review. One year ago I loved this place but over a few occasions I've had my order wrong. In one case I received a breakfast wrap instead of my usual southwest chicken. Yesterday I went in to revisit to order a small southwest chicken wrap with one spoonful of extra cheese and as it looks like one strip of bacon. No drink and No chips my small chicken wrap the size of a regular hotdog came to almost $13!!!! If the owners are wondering why business is declining then maybe be more present and run the business like it should be running. Between this place and Freshii you get WAY MORE FOOD at Freshii than the Pits. Sorry guys looks like I won't be returning for the lack of food for the price. 2 sm wraps would equal to two medium pizzas for the same price. So 16 slices vs 2 small pitas hmmm let me think about NAH I'll take...
