Yees Garden Chinese Foods — Restaurant in Peterborough

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! My boyfriend and I were very hungry after a hard stressful day. We wanted chinese and found this place. We ordered Dinner for 3, this had fried rice, fried chicken with veggies, chow mein, pork spare ribs. This was supposed to be for 3 people, the portion was enough for only 1 person. Also, chow mein is noodles…we got bean sprouts (chop suey). in what world! the “fried chicken” was actually a stir fried chicken that was boiled and 90% veggies.

Drove back and told him i’m allergic to bean sprouts and he blamed it on me, he kept saying i’m just playing with words and i said no i’m just reading ur menu!! same thing with the chicken i thought was fried chicken with veggies mixed in, he stayed it’s my fault once more. I pushed and pushed until he agreed to refund the $70 and refund the food, processed to make us wait 40 mins to get the refund on the card while he was on...

Food's classic run of the mill Chinese, and I love it for that; the owners work very hard to just do what they do, expect the same result every time. Something I personally cast in a positive light.

Great hours for getting some food at the odd times, only issue I ever have is sometimes I attempt to order ahead of time and they just don't pickup the phone, or they have some issue.. I've called and let it ring for ten minutes, then actually go by there and they're open and in business, to which then I'd rather go to subway across the road for food now than wait another fifteen minutes.

None-the-less this place is just exactly what you'd want and expect from a 'run-of-the-mill'...

We got take out tonight. The order was $96.00. First time stopping at this restaurant on our way home from the cottage. We were hungry and excited to try a new place. Sadly, there was a very large clump of a few hairs stuck together in the rice that my husband had. He spit it out. Threw up and we tossed all of the Chinese food out. I called the owner immediately to explain, however all he said was “ I believe you but I’m not sure how it got in there”! And that was all..... no offer of a refund or replacement meal. Terrible service. They seemed like sweet people, but that is unacceptable. We didn’t have $100 to waste on dinner we...
