This restaurant needs some work. First off, atmosphere. The restaurant was hot. I know that there’s a pizza oven but it was an uncomfortable temperature for eating. Also, no wood in sight for the oven; it appears to be gas. The exit sign had cob webs all over it. One of the washrooms has a broken soap dispenser and the replacement soap is watered down to the point of not being soap. Cleaning supplies (windex etc) are stored on the counter near the utensils and other kitchen items like food prep items. Additionally, there are weird stains on the backs of chairs - maybe oil?
The food. The pizziaolo does a decent job and the pizza is cooked just right with a thin crust. Zucchini should be grilled before being added to the veg pizza. It is not, so the zucchini is raw. The pizzaiolo also blows under each pizza with his mouth to release it from the wood board to put in the oven. I’ve not seen this technique before. Does not seem sanitary to blow directly on the food. I know it is being cooked in a hot oven - still don’t think this is how it’s normally done.
The service. Water is not automatically brought to the table, side plates and cutlery had to be asked for. The bill was not presented - just the machine so you have to trust that the bill is correct.
I think there is good potential for this place as they work out some growing pains, but the basics need to...
Read moreWe had an absolutely wonderful dinner at 468F Pizza last night. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere instantly transported us back to our travels in Italy.
The food was exceptionally authentic — every bite reminded us of the meals we enjoyed in small trattorias across Milan and Florence. The flavours, the freshness of the ingredients, and the perfectly balanced seasoning were spot on. It’s rare to find Italian cuisine outside Italy that tastes this genuine — but they absolutely nailed it!
A special shoutout to Shweta, our server, who was simply outstanding. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome throughout the evening. She guided us through the menu with great recommendations and ensured every detail of our experience was perfect. I hope you read this Shweta.
But what touched us the most was the care the staff showed. My wife wasn’t feeling well at one point, and they didn’t hesitate for a moment — they kindly provided her with some medicine and made sure she was comfortable and looked after. That level of genuine care and hospitality goes well beyond what you’d expect and truly made us feel like we were dining among friends.
I can’t recommend this place enough — for both the food and the heart they put into every guest’s experience. We will...
Read moreWas driving around thinking where can I get a good pizza in Pickering. Then I remembered seeing a tik tok video of this place so we tried it. I will tell you if you like authentic Italian food that is quickly made and reasonable priced then try this place out. We had the cup and char pepperoni pizza and a pitcher of beer for 24.00. Amazing deal that was offered for the month of June. I hope they can continue this special. The pizza was extremely good. The peps were real good. The cheese was tasty. The tomato sauce was like my Zia’s(aunt in Italian) I then tried the spinach ravioli. One word “Speechless “ The one bad thing they didn’t offer bread to dunk into the remaining sauce in the bowl. Will definitely be going back to this place and I recommend you try it as well. The eat in conditions are more like a fast food restaurant so don’t be expecting a fine dining experience. The server who I believe is also an invested partner in the business is a friendly host cook and server. She is the real deal Italian cook. She prepared my food and brought the ravioli to me as well.
I rate this place a...
