To say this is the best BBQ style food in Pickering would be an understatement...simply the best BBQ in Toronto! Our family dinner tonight was an order of pulled chicken tacos, they come as a set of 3 and came with very fresh toppings and were filled to the brim. One and a half will fill you up and allow some for left overs. The southern fried chicken came with beans and was something that colonel made back in the 50s. This is real simple southern fried chicken done old school. I had the 3 bone ribs and wings with fries and beans. Wings are the best in terms of size and meatiness juicy well flavored Buffalo style. All served up with the best corn bread North of Texas and dessert was the best Brownie that you will ever find. The ribs that came with the wing combo were juicy with the right amount of fattiness that give great BBQ its flavour. There is often a bit of a wait at Horn Dawgs as everyone wants to eat at the same time and they get inundated with orders during the supper rush. But IMPORTANT to understand is that every order is like homemade cooking and takes time to be prepared for a great meal. This is not fast food and takes time to get right. Patience when ordering is much appreciated by the crew that delivers the best BBQ! Try the brisket sammich...you won't regret it, but order with just a light drizzle of BBQ sauce so you get the real smokey brisket taste. Your tastebuds...

This place is so hit and miss it's unbelievable. Not sure how a restaurant can be so good some nights and so awful others. We stopped ordering from these guys a while back but got sucked back in recently when we ordered for the first time in a while and it was good. We've ordered in the last 2 Wednesdays and both meals were terrible. Guess Wednesday night is a night to avoid.

Fyi fix you're Uber eats page. Why can't I choose french fries as a side when I order something like Taco's? You can "upgrade" to a poutine but you can't actually order the fries.

Reply- I did use the special instructions, but they failed to follow my request.... But is that really your answer? Rather than fix the problem on your Uber page your solution is to tell the customer to go through a special process just to get french fries with an order. Wouldn't the more logical solution be to add the missing french fry option to your list of sides???? It's not as if you can leave the side option blank when you order. So as it is now I have to select something like mac and cheese or rice and then add special notes saying french fries please and hope that they actually noticed that, which...

Horn Dawgs is just like one of those hidden gems you see on shows on the foodnetwork. It's small but has a lot of character. The food looks amazing and tastes even better. We ordered the "Can't Decide Sandwich" (half beef brisket half pulled pork), mac and cheese and poutine. Each tastey in their own rights. The mac and chesse was creamy an filling. The poutine was nice and crispy even being drentched with gravy. The sandwich was great with my only suggestion being the bread needing to be baked a bit. Aside from that, there was no skimping on meat and the sauce was delicious. What sets this place apart from the others is Yuri, the owner. He is a friendly person that can spark up a good conversation. He never tried to get us to order more than we wanted and had some good recommendations. For someone that works by himself most of the time, he does an amazing job keeping the place intact and the food delicious.
