For 30$ for two chicken rotis, one would assume the roti wasnāt microwaved. Anyone thatās eaten roti n curry leftovers knows that when you microwave it it gets hard around the edges and folds. Not only was the spare roti we ordered 40% hard as a rock. But even still the roti folds under the wrap were hard and couldnāt even cut with a steak knife. (This should be harder to cause if you heat the roti gently first then heat the entire wrap with the moisture from the curry.)
This was during dinner hour. I could understand at closing time, but not during dinner hour serving microwaved paratha and dal. You can go next door for bagged roti that you can microwave at home.
That said, very kind and welcoming atmosphere. But you need to start serving some fresh made roti hot off the tawa during lunch and dinner. Pro tip, when you are microwaving it (which there are better ways to reheat) you need to use a low power setting, but it will still be noticeable as soon as it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered for the first time from Yardies via Doordash today. I ordered the goat soup in the 10oz size, but when I got the box, I couldn't help but notice how small it was. Curiousity got the best of me and I measured out the soup, and it came to a total size of about 6.7oz. I have to say that is an incredibly dishonest business practice. Not to mention I paid $7.50 for it plus tax and service fees! It tasted great, but I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning as you are not receiving the value advertised.
Edit: The business responded to blame this on delivery. Unless the delivery driver chose the size of the soup container and was in your kitchen, putting the soup into it and packing it, then it was not a delivery issue. This is on the restaurant's end. The container size and amount advertised do not line up. Very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to I used to love Yardies. Now , not so sure. Not sure if ownership has changed or what is going on. I ordered jerk pork (large) with oxtail gravy on the rice (none put on) , jerk pork sandwich and a festival and 2 hot sauces ( no hot sauce in bag). I ordered via uber eats ( first time) and it was an awful experience. I ordered through uber for the convenience as I live at the other end of pickering and my order didn't come how I ordered it. If I came in person it would have came out properly as there is accountability. Beware of uber eats orders. My review is for yardies. In my notes I asked for oxtail gravy on the rice , none on it and asked for 2 hot sauce in my notes , no hot sauce. This is not a responsibility...
