Their Food is amazing w/out a doubt. I always takeout. This time I wanted my parents to try and dined in. YUP! my parents loved their food. EVERYTHING was great UNTIL... There's a guy behind the cash always wearing his cap backwards (I think that's the owner's son or family member)... he is soo aggressive. Previously when I take out, he would just throw the invoices towards me on the counter. Never greeted when I ever walked in - was always on his phone and had a tough guy vibe. I didn't care because i liked their food. NOW! While dining in with my parents, this person was there that night. During the time we're eating, he was on his phone... couldn't tell if he was talking to himself or singing or memorizing his studies, but he was well engaged in the phone. A customer walked in - same behavior - no greetings. Customer had a large order of $200+. The guy behind the counter started being extra nice now! That's when I realized when you spend alot, people are nicer to you here. I paid for the food in between we were eating, just to save time and get out ASAP then asked for boxes to take the extras. BUT we were not fully finished. The guy behind the counter, brought out his wheeled trolly, taking all the empty plates then standing behind me watching over my shoulders and aggressively asking "is that finished?" "Are you done?". OMG, he was emptying our table like there was a large party coming after us, indirectly telling us to get out asap and it wasn't closing time plus we were the only ones there with lots of seating spots. My words won't be enough to describe it until someone experiences it. It was horrible. I stopped going there. There is Karahi Hut across the street, great service & food tastes just as good. There's also Kandahar Kabab at the Walmart Plaza. Then4 traffic lights towards west, there's Usmania Grill, where employees are uniformed, you are welcomed & greeted soo nicely and the food IS MUCH BETTER!! My message to Food Time is to please treat your customers well. Even a single dollar is RIZK. Your food tastes good. Don't take that for granted that people will still come, regardless. Or atleast train your son well otherwise when he takes over, the business will drown. Other times I walked in for take out, the girls were there... very friendly services with them. My wife still craves Food Time, so I call to see if the guy answers or not - if it's not the guy, then I walk in to take out. Trust me, a single smile is a simple charity. When people walk in, a smile with a greeting will make a huge difference. The food is good. I just had way too many bad experiences from that guy in the...
Read moreNo doubt food was and its been always good. This is not the first time we cater. In fact, all my relatives and friends circle order from Food Time, guess what this wont be the case anymore going forward.
The guy not sure if he is the owner but goes by Chaudhary, worst ever person I have dealt with on the face of this earth. I am sure he works in the backend not a front liner. I just spoke to him over the phone because we catered for 65 people and had ordered vegie biryani for couple of my indian friends who don't eat meat. So we picked up food and on our way to party hall realized that they did not include veggie biryani as promised. I called back and guess what I was to blame because as per him it's our fault that we should have checked before leaving. Then I was called a liar because we did not order it and yes last week we had to cancel our party due to my family got sick including my older daughter and wife. Called 48 hours a head and postponed it to this weekend but I fulfilled my promise by going back to Foodtime and ordered it. We were blamed for his own mistake cuz as per him we cancelled the orderand and this caused confusion yet we were charged for it. This guy Chaudhary used absuive slangs shouted and even threatened me to come meet him in the store and he will show that he has guts to deal with me. Seriously!!! Lol
Any how this is not stopping here going to BBB, plus at my party informed all my guests and requested to not deal with Food Time. Poor guy you have no clue what you have done to your clientele. Worst worst worst customer service. If this guy is the owner then I don't blame everyone who has reported their worst experience with the staff.
I will post again after reporting to...
Read moreMy recent evening at Food Time in Pickering felt like an adventure through the heart of Pakistani cuisine. From the moment we stepped in, the aroma of spices hinted at the flavorful journey awaiting us.
Let's talk about their Chicken Tandoori—it was a showstopper. The smoky essence, coupled with the perfectly cooked chicken, made each bite a flavor explosion. And the Bihari Kebab! It was a dance of spices, tender and juicy, leaving us craving more.
But oh, the Chicken Tikka! That succulence and the medley of spices that lingered, it was like a party on the taste buds. And their mutton dishes? They showcased the diverse flavors of Pakistan beautifully, each with its unique personality.
What made this experience exceptional was Sami Malik's service. He was a gem—attentive, friendly, and his passion for the food was infectious. His recommendations added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal.
The ambiance was warm and cozy, a perfect setting to savor these delightful dishes. The staff's dedication to ensuring we had a great time was evident at every turn.
For anyone seeking authentic Pakistani flavors or those eager to explore new tastes, Food Time is an absolute must-visit in Pickering.
I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended for a delicious and welcoming...
