Bright Pearl Restaurant — Restaurant in Pincher Creek

I was so happy to have my family who are out of town come visit and get them to try out my favourite Chinese food. Boy was I ever embarrassed and disappointed. The food was not as good as it normally is, but the service was terrible worst I had ever experienced which is not usual for this place because all my other experiences have been really good. But first of all two of our members wanted water only and did not receive it so when i went up to ask the young kid he said no one is getting water right now. Then he comes down to our table slams the plastic cup on the table and walked away and never even gave it to the right people. Then second of all my grand daughter was waiting for chicken fingers and was sitting at our table the whole time while we ate off the buffet ( which all the food was not replenished so we had to eat things we did not want) so I motioned for the young kid who I put the order in with to find out how much longer for her food and he said I never even put it in. We got up and one of our parties went to pay for the whole meal and they charged my 10 year old granddaughter a full adult buffet of something she did not even eat. We told the guy at the till she never ate off the buffet and he still charged us! Was not impressed at all and very disappointed because this was my favourite place and my family members said they would never go back there again , we were a party of 6. I went to this place with my wife and 2 friend for a buffet dinner. Food (whatever was available)was nice. Noticed 2-3 main items were finished and waited it to be refilled. Salt and pepper shrimp, salt and pepper prawns where out which was not refilled until I asked them a couple of times about it. Beef and mushroom had just mushroom and not a single piece of beef, when asked about it, the lady at the till gave me a dry smile and dint say a word. DESSERTS where out by 730, asked a server/manager(I don't know) about it and she was like we don't have anymore desserts. She gave me an attitude and dint even care to apologize for an item running out in a buffet. Maybe she was not okay with my skin color, I don't know. We were COMPLETELY blown away by this place. The best chinese food I have ever had by far. This place dosent even come close to any Chinese place in Edmonton or surrounding area.

They were behind the night we ordred and had to wait an hr before we could pick but it was well worth the wait. The batter on everything was light (not thick and dense like most places) and not soaked with oil. Even the sauce for the chicken balls was awesome, it wasn't just some premade sauce from a jar. The egg rolls were out of this world and the ginger beef was cooked perfectly. Good prices and large portions as well.

I will definitely recommend this place to people I know that will be in the Pincher Creek area because more people need to know about this phenomenal restaurant!
