Lunch Doctor — Restaurant in Pitt Meadows

I've been going to the Lunch Doctor for more than 20 years. I've driven to Pitt Meadows from out of the area because the sandwiches are deee-licious!

Sadly a global pandemic has put a damper on such outings and I haven't been to the store many months, until yesterday. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but the place was very run down looking, the chalk board menu was gone, replaced with a (ripped) paper one taped to the front desk, with a sad short list of a few choices.

Also, the person making my sandwiches was not wearing a mask, and only one other employee had a mask on but only covering the mouth, not the nose. While masks are not mandated right now, it was concerning. Anyone making food should wear a mask for the safety of the customer.

Between the rundown environment, and concern over safe food handling I likely won't be back for the time being. I sincerely hope they can come back to what they once were because they made thee...

A Pitt Meadows institution, Justin one of the owners is a Pitt Meadows 1993 grad. A grad class that produced Greg Moore and Brendan Morrison. Sandwiches are made with fresh and high quality meats and veggies and cheese. Bread is fresh and made daily. They use to have a sandwich reward card. There was propbly a good reason they got rid of it. In my unbiased opinion there should be a reward card special for Pitt Meadows high class of 1993 grads. Wow!! Great sandwiches! Large selection of sandwich options, super fresh ingredients and some of the most delicious bread I've ever had. Easy location to get into, lots of parking. The staff there were fantastic, made quick work of customers who knew what they wanted, and took time with customers who needed a little more attention. One of those amazing sandwich shops that you don't want to tell anyone else about so it remains your little secret, but it's too good not to share. One of these days I'll be back for the lumberjack sandwich that feeds four......
