Suzy's Ice Creamporium/Original Alberts — Restaurant in Point Edward

Having grown up in Sarnia I remember the Albert's fry truck under the Blue Water bridge. It was alway a treat to get "fries under the bridge"... We were excited to get our first fish and chips of the season when we could during the pandemic. Yesterday we finally went... what a disappointment!!

The service was terrible, as they processed orders as if you were at a government agency "next, next, next..." Once the order was ready they dropped them on a table and yelled your name and vanished. They did not wait to ensure your oder was correct or if you needed anything else.

In our case I tried to get their attention as we needed some condiments... As our food got cold and I tried to get someone's attention after about five minutes the next order was slapped down on the table. The person looked at us and when I said we have been waiting and trying to get their attention I got a dismissive look and it appeared we inconvenienced her to give us the condiments.

When we finally did go to eat the fish and chips... the fries were not even the golden brown we used to love but still white, so as close to be under cooked as could be and cold... the Halibut was basically a couple of fish sticks... needless to say I don't see us eating...

BEWARE OF OVERCHARGING...and their lame excuse for why they overcharged.

I ordered 2 x small fries at 4.85 = $9.70 + 13% tax = 10.96. I was charged $14.85 + $2 tip totaling $16.85....No drinks or sides at all. Just before we got our 2 small fries, I asked my friend if she thought we were overcharged, and she said yes. I proceeded back to the cashier with my calculations on my phone, and she made up some lame excuse that there was a previous order on our order. How often does she do that for the day. She doesn't offer you a receipt. She must be pocketing lots of money all day, every day!!! She reluctantly gave me $3.85 for the overcharge... no, sorry, or anything.

I'm very disappointed... I'll be reminding everyone that enters there to ask for a receipt...

Asked for a poutine and got gravy fries with shredded cheese, no curds.... no poutine. The lady was offended when I refused my order and told her a poutine contains chees curds and gravy on fried not shredded american cheese. She then cussed me out, and ushered me to leave while banning me from said establishment. The fries are over greased garbage, they can't make a simple poutine and people rave about this place when the customer service and food is complete garbage. Do yourself a favour and go to Yogi's instead. Great service, great food, and cheese curds in the poutine as it's suppose to be. Forget Alberts, its complete Garbage, would not recommend or ever go back to! ALBERTS NEVER! If can't get a simple poutine right, you don't know how to do anything right and Alberts is the prefect example of it. Seriously a ZERO outta...
