Tommy’s is my partners and I go to breakfast place we come here often and get the same thing the cali Benedict every time and it has never disappointed till recently. The last two times our food was missing the pesto and the eggs were hard. However the most recent time my eggs were not runny and hard around the edges so they remade them and brought them back ever harder it was completely fully cooked .The third time they just replaced the eggs so I could swap them off and the eggs were barely even cooked to the point where when you cut the egg open water came out along with the yolk. I understand that sometimes things happen but for two separate time to have hard eggs and have to remake them 3 times to still not be good for a breakfast place is not great. Hoping the new owners can get things back on track. Update : This tommys used to be great before new ownership. The food was always but since the ownership change there has been nothing but a decline. They can never seem to make eggs properly and the food portions have gotten smaller and the food is never “hot” . I have given them many chances and today was the last straw and I specifically made sure when I ordered that the eggs would be medium runny and they came out fully hard . I suggest you go to the new location at royal mount the food is always fresh and hot as well it’s a bigger portion .

UPDATE! January 2023: I decided to come back to hang out for a coffee date and finally get my lucky charms latte. We waited at least 10 mins before getting seated, no one came to see us, no one gave us eye contacts?! I almost left but I was already here. Lucky charms latte was not worth it, all the cereal was just soggy at the end. Cookies were delicious! I wonder where they order them from. June 2022: Tried this cute coffee shop in Fairview. Service was great, the waitresses were friendly and nice. They did get my latte wrong, I wanted to try their lucky charms latte but didn’t feel like complaining so I decided to drink it anyways (the bill was charged as a normal latte). The coffee was delicious! Other than that, I would not be ordering from their breakfast menu. The total bill for 2 coffee and 2 plates was 50$ including tip. I thought it was a bit expensive for something simple... Maybe it’s because I had high expectations ? Anyhow, I know I would most likely come back for their coffee and pastries (hopefully I’ll get the right coffee this time hahah). They also heated up my chocolate chip cookie which was delicious, I forgot to take a picture but it was huge! Maybe I’ll update my review once I go back. This place is a nice spot for coffee dates.

The place looks nice, but the employees are busy chatting amongst themselves, so customer service goes wanting. My husband ordered the muti- grain toast with avocado and a coffee, I ask for the almond croissant and an Earl Grey Tea. Coffee and tea were brought to the table, but no spoons. When I ordered my tea I asked for sugar and cream, that too didn't get served. My husband asked for the spoons and cream and sugar. We were brought espresso spoons. Very small in size and the cups were quite big in size. Then they brought my husband's toast and forgot my croissants. The employees were busy talking. An other server came I asked again for the croissants. When I finally got the croissant it wasn't very fresh. Hard to cut and hard to chew. It's too bad because it reminded me of a nice café that I have been to in England. It has potential, if the employees are more attentive to customers and that when the order is served, to make sure that everything that is needed to enjoy the meal arrives at the same time.

The aesthetic? Amazing - everything else? - horrific.

This place is genuinely one of the most beautiful cafés I have been in- and it’s in a mall. Needless to say I was very excited. It turned out to be one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had at a restaurant.

Here’s the list. -they were out of orange juice at 11am on a Monday- as well as out of bacon, (which they failed to mention) out of milk for the coffee, and the sad part is the list goes on and on there were many key ingredients that they didn’t have stocked.

-We waited over 20 minutes for two beverages (sea breeze and the Hawaii sangria)

Myself and a friend ordered 2 eggs Benedict’s, I got the tommy Benedict and he got the truffle Benedict, he had received a traditional Benedict and I for some reason received mine on a bagel in? When brought up I was told that all 3 forms of Benedict’s came on bagels with a heavy attitude.

-my sister had ordered a BLTC and received proceeded ham instead of bacon (hence the lack of communication on the servers part) she wasn’t able to eat the meal due to being on a very restricted diet due to breastfeeding.

-for it being a new restaurant the bathrooms are poorly taken care of, which is a big indicator that management is severely lacking.

there were so many staff members on, and there was SUCH a lack of service. Absolutely nobody seemed happy to work there.

It had gotten to the point where I was pushed to start taking notes in my phone just to leave this review. The space is amazing, they just need to make the staff and management up to par.

The best part? The bill was over 80$ for two drinks...

Hi, I’ve had an unfortunate experience at the Fairview location. It appears the cafe staff do not follow the opening hours schedule. This has occurred more times than once but especially bizarre on May 13th, 2022. That being said, I had planned to go grab a coffee and snack around 5pm on a Friday. There was a group of ladies eating tapas inside which made me believe it would be open for sitting. As I entered the cafe hoping to get seated, I was told by staff that they are currently closed. I asked her what time they closed today and it took her a moment to answer me. She followed by pulling out her phone and seeing it was 5pm, told me they had just closed the kitchen. That made me confused since the opening hours online say they close at 9. I was confused especially since there was that group of ladies still eating. I left the cafe empty handed and decided to shop inside the mall for an hour and a half. While leaving, I walked past the cafe and noticed that the ladies were still sitting, chatting and eating. This made me very upset and made it feel as if the staff did not want to serve me despite me being polite and understanding and despite the staff closing shop way before the closing time. I believe this was truly unfair treatment in their part and feel that someone in power must talk to the staff at this location. I hope this can be resolved because I do really enjoy the cafe at the...

I visited 2 adults, 2 kids. There were only 2 other tables seated and quite a few servers. Someone say us, someone else took our drink order, someone else brought the coffees, the finally, maybe one of the prior took our food order, but someone different brought it. I completely lost track. The kid’s french toast is so small, that I felt insulted. It was 1 piece of thin bread with 8 strawberries, 10 ultra thin banana slices, that were so thin they had stuck to the plate. My child couldn’t lift them off. I know this is a child’s price at $12, but usually child menu options are $6-10, and for this, it was not enough for a 4 year old who always eats 2 pieces of thick french toast.

Our other meals were nothing special but nicely presented. Very overpriced, $22 each. Eggs benny without meat on one single toast $22?! A bit absurd.

We were never asked if we wanted more coffee, the basic coffee was $3.50 anyway though so I guess that would gave added up quick. We waited a long time for the bill, I kept looking over but two of the girls were giggling over something on a phone. They were on the phone a long time.

Unfortunately we were not satisfied and 2 adults, 2 kids $100 for breakfast. Shameful really. The minimum tip option was 18% but of course I went less because who tips that in a place where I couldn’t tell you who my server was and overcharges all meals. No thanks....
