Grillades Torino (Fairview Pointe Claire) — Restaurant in Pointe-Claire

This restaurant is on the "TOO GOOD TO GO" app., and refused to give me what I paid for, on Monday, December 30, 2024. This is how the "app" works: You get food that is left over from the day, that should still be edible, AND valued at 3 times what you pay for. Meaning, you pay 1/3 the original selling price. I paid $5.00 + tax, and right on the app itself, for this restaurant, it says I will be receiving, a $15.00 value, before taxes. I asked her if what she gave me was $15.00 value, because it certainly wasn't, and she replied, "You want $15.00 value?, give me another $10.00 + tax.". I showed her the app, and she didn't care, and repeated, what she just said. She also called her "boss"(same age, 20 yrs old aproximately), and she replies "that's what you get", and walks off, in the food court. It's ridiculous! They should NOT be using this application, for disposing of their food, at the same price, for day old! Never again, learned my lesson, and hope they do also.

I thought the two girls I dealt with that day at GRILLADES TORINO'S in Fairview Pointe Claire were rude, well it turns out that the OWNER is not as sympathetic as he/she wants the readers of these reviews to think he/she is! Came to Grillades Torino to try for the first time and It was a good experience for me. I ordered the #7 Chicken beef and merguez with two sides and one main side.

Here is my review for Grillades Torino Fairview.

Pros: A) It’s pretty much fresh since everything there looks fresh and well made. B) The food tastes really good and it’s a good Arabic food. C) The lady that I had that day was kind and very nice she was also alone so I tipped her at the end of the meal with Cash.

Cons: A) Service seems slows as she was one working during the lunch rush. There should be at least one or two more. B) Soda fountains were not working that day so only canned and bottled drinks. C) Prices were a little bit high for me and I feel that she should add a little more food. D) They need to be blinngual workers and know more about the food industry.

Conclusion: The Lady that day deserved a tip as she was one and for sure this is an underrated restaurant in the mall.

Went there in Feb of 2024 on a Saturday. Unfortunately, it wasn't great. I waited 10-15 mins in line, even though there was only 2-3 customers in front of me?

Most importantly, there seems to be some miscommunication issues between workers and customers bc not only i had to repeat my order twice to two different people, at the end I still got something different from what I originally ordered (and it was more expensive). When I tried to let them know of this issue and repeat what I ordered, they dismissed it and let me know that, in fact, i ordered something different.

Even if we don't take all previous issues into account, the food I received was not worth the price. Rice, two salads, two tiny pieces of chicken and three slices of beef. They charged 19$ for that googie bagoogie. Like, sir, this is McDonalds? I don't get their policy and I would only recommend this place to people who enjoy the feeling of...
