Harbour Scoop Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Port Alberni

I like to give businesses plenty of time before I review them. I visit repeatedly so I have a lot of examples for my opinions.

Harbour Scoop has continually blown me away since the new owners took over. They are kind, friendly, and helpful. Their ice cream is delicious, and they've expanded their menu to include a variety of hot and cold treats. They are teaching the youth to work, handle money, and serve customers. This is what business should look like. That's not all!

Here is the kicker: THE PIE!

I just purchased a slice of their peach pie. It is STILL HOT! Paired it with a scoop of vanilla and a bit of whipped cream. I am in heaven. Their Apple is outstanding as well.

Love this place! They always have a ton of flavours (always changing!) to choose from, service is fast and super friendly. They have 4 "sizes" (Baby, S/M/L), two types of cones or you can get it in a cup. The frozen lemonade is really good as well! This place is always a must when at the quay during the on-season. Lovely location! Outside concrete, so wheelchair friendly. Fellow working today was very nice and had a good sense of humor, and was a pro at stacking copious icecream scoops atop each other! Prices were incredibly reasonable too! My friend had bubblegum, and I had pistachio/almond and maple/walnut, and it was all delicious!!
