I was extremely disappointed with my overall experience with Delish (service, taste, look). I went into the store more than a week before my intended pick up date to place my order in person and gave the girl my general budget and idea of what we wanted. We were not looking for anything fancy, just a simple design that would feed about 6 or so people. When I went in to pick up our cake, I opened the box and only half of the cake had sprinkles but it didn't look like it was on purpose and that maybe someone had spilled some. I asked the lady if it was supposed to be like that, and she looked shocked and said "no" then proceeded to put a few more on for me but it looked very messy. Also, the writing on the cake was so horrid looking and so embarrassing, it looked like a 6 year old wrote it :( it also looked like it said "Happy Kelly Birthday" instead of "Happy Birthday Kelly" (PICTURE ATTACHED) and the writing was completely running. The cake would have maybe looked ok if it wasn't for this, but it was dead centre and looked awful. I expressed my disappointment to the girl at the till, and she didn't have much to say and didn't apologize. I walked out, and was trying to look on the bright side because it was still gluten-free and would still maybe taste good (we requested a gluten free/vegan red velvet flavour with cream cheese frosting). What we got was a burnt sides which were clearly trying to be hid with extra icing that was not cream-cheese like at all. None of the icing on the cake was remotely close to trying to taste like cream-cheese (I have had vegan cream cheese frosting before) and the cake was very stale inside. I wish we had saved our money and gotten a cake from the store, at least those are tastier/nicer texture. I wouldn't recommend going here for a special occasion cake until trying it first for a non-special occasion. The only good thing about our cake was that it was in fact gluten free, and no one with celiac got sick. For reference, we picked up our cake May 7, 2018 before 5PM.

I really like the look of the area that Caffé Delish is located in. It’s next to the community centre and a big open plaza and park. The cafe is small, but clean and comfortable, with a few tables inside and outside. I was helped by two baristas on my visit. The first one I talked to was very unenthusiastic and seemed impatient while I was deciding what to order, but the second was welcoming and more helpful. I got a Red Pepper Hummus Flaxroll, an Iced Pumpkin Chai Latte, and a Belgian Chocolate Brownie. These were all really cool! The flax wrap is thicker and not flaky/tender like a traditional tortilla, so don’t expect that, but it’s more substantial and I like that it’s something a little different. The hummus filling was tasty. The pumpkin chai was topped with a layer of cinnamon-dusted sweet cream which elevated the drinking experience. A little on the sweet side for my taste but the chai flavour was very nice. I think there should be a note on the menu or the baristas should at least let you know when you order that this drink comes with the cream, because I could see someone ordering this drink with a nondairy milk as I did and expecting it to be dairy-free. I can have dairy so it was fine for me. The brownie was dense and fudgy and not too sweet at all, just how I like it! The almonds and chocolate drizzle on top gave it a nice little bit of crunch. The prices are pretty reasonable! It looks like they only have to-go cups for drinks, but there are plates if you plan on dining in, I just had to ask for them (I asked barista 2 for my food on plates, they instructed barista 1 to use plates, but 1 must not have heard because they put my flax roll in a bag and then I had to ask again for my brownie on a plate. Oh well.) They did accept my personal cup for my drink though! I’d imagine that this little cafe is a godsend if you have to avoid gluten, but even if not, it’s definitely worth a visit!

Caffe Delish is a charming cafe, tucked away in Port Coquitlam that serves gluten free baked goods. They belong to the already established Delish bakery in Port Coquitlam. Indoor and outdoor seating are both available. On the counter and in their display case they offer an assortment of gluten free items both savory and sweet for customers to choose from. They have a good selection of hot and cold beverages to pair with the foods, and they even have a separate kids menu mounted on the wall! I tried the Pumpkin Spice Frappe and the Pumpkin Spice Scone while my husband ordered a sausage roll, a turkey and bacon breakfast sandwich, a coffee and a hot chocolate for himself and our daughter. The Pumpkin Spice Frappe and the hot chocolate were both yummy. I liked that my daughter's hot chocolate was sweet but not overly sweet. My Pumpkin Spice Frappe came with a cronut that was looped around my drinking straw. My husband loved the turkey and bacon breakfast sandwich. He'd never had that combination before, and the bacon was nicely crisped. We all loved the Pumpkin Spice Scone. It was our favourite. Moist, tasty and simply..."delish"! Pumpkin Spice flavours were dancing around in my mouth with every bite that I took of the Pumpkin Spice Scone, and it was a huge scone! I was so glad I came with an empty stomach. The scone was large enough for me to share it with both my daughter and my husband, while still enabling me to leave the cafe feeling sufficiently fed. Service: Great Parking: Free street parking Location: Attached to a new condo building on a quiet street. It's a few shops in, so just keep walking and you're sure to see it eventually.

We ordered a $70 cake (which was an investment for us and a lot of money) for a gender reveal. We gave explicit instructions as to the color needed on the inside of the cake. We were assured it would be made as requested… Our family gathered for the party… and the cake had no color on the inside. I was reduced to tears, my family was upset our little one who was excited about becoming a big sister is now crying… I have never experienced this kind of gross incompetence. People travelled for this special moment and this bakery destroyed that for us… the cake had no color on the inside.

I would strongly recommend not trusting custom orders from this bakery. I’m so incredibly heartbroken. They took one of the most special moments a family could have from us.

Also I’ve called three times and sent an email and no calls have went through and I received no response. Not only did they ruin this moment for us but, they’re also unreachable.

Update - In response to the below. We received a replacement cake after our family had left, my husband had gone to work, our party which we spent time as well as money on was over and our memory was ruined.

Our child was prepped for days to identify color and was excited about being a big sibling…. The colorless cake made them breakdown thinking they were no longer going to be a big sibling…

We received no refund…

I guess if you consider the above completely awful and heartbreaking experience “fully resolved”… I’ll agree to disagree. This moment is something that our family will have as a painful memory for a long time.

You were aware of glitch and made no attempt to call us to ensure the cake we ordered would be what we received.

We’re just heartbroken. This was such a...
