I’m Impressed!
This place came up on a google search and I was rushed and just went for it, so I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t even read the other reviews. I went in blind.
The crust was nice and crunchy on the bottom and soft on the top. It is somewhere between the Neapolitan thin-ness and like a “standard pizza”. Best of both worlds.
Toppings were not too heavy but I think there is pizza science out there with a toppings to crust ratio. If you want a stack of toppings add more.
Cheese was light but again I think this is purposeful and it works with the rest of it, but if you need to live the cheezy life, just add more of it.
I was very annoying by accident and I made a few special requests while it was busy on a Friday not knowing this place is actually quite popular and busy. They accommodated my requests anyway.
Online ordering was easy and the timeline was reliable. I waited maybe 2 extra minutes (probably while the accommodated my annoying peak hour requests)
The staff were nice.
It is August and it was hot. I would not recommend sitting inside on a 31 degree August evening to...
Read moreGreat Pizza! Best I’ve found so far. More important to readers will be description. They describe it as Artisanal Neapolitan style which it is (zero zero flour hand stretched and high heat fast cook) but differs in ways that probably more people will like. They hand stretch the dough onto fine cornmeal which gives the whole crust an amazing crispiness like no neapolitan pizza has, yet the soft inner edge of Neapolitan. It’s thin, but not silly thin. Real pizza. A big person with a very big appetite will eat a whole large, but two average people can share one for a filling lunch. They have slices ready to go too. Zero blackness- which also differs from neapolitan. This means kids will eat it too! And if you are a topping lover, they top their pizzas more generously and closer to the edge than any Neapolitan I’ve had in several countries. Great creative selection of high quality toppings too. If you pick it up to take away, pause and try one slice hot and fresh before you go home. So great. Totally...
Read moreGood for Port Coquitlam, but far from 5 stars. I actually question if these are all real or not, but feel I am being very fair at 4 stars.
High hopes after looking at the menu. Sounded like great ingredients. Upon arrival my built up excitement dropped as I saw the pizzas were cooked in what I’m sure is a very expensive toaster oven for Pizzas.
The crust is reminiscent of a large pizza chain, I just can’t put my finger on it. It was thin, and even when it cooled off it still tasted decent.
The ingredients were plentiful, but lacking cheese, although that may be the style they are going for.
It was just “good,” but nothing really stood out. I’ve been searching the tri cities for good pizza since I moved here 4 years ago. Still stuck on a cash only place in Pitt Meadows for the wood fired thin crust, or A certain Italian/Greek joint in PoCo for the “how much can you load onto a pie” type of pizza.
Conclusion: good if you walking by, but certainly wouldn’t go out of my way if you craving...
