Megabite Pizza Port Coquitlam — Restaurant in Port Coquitlam

Update since last review:

The owner of this pizza joint changed last yr(2018) in November-ish. They changed the decor and everything. The wall of white tile gives cold and bare feelings. I haven’t had the chance to visit til Jan of 2019. My parents really liked their pizza from previous owner so we decided to have few slices of pizza for lunch. It was really disappointing that the new owner couldn’t keep up the quality of dough that previous owner had. The decor was immediately noticeable and the display of pizza looked quite stale as there weren’t eaten by customers fast as they used to be. Since we made the trip all the way to the pizza joint, we ordered Hawaiian pizza fresh from the oven. We were hoping that it will be good enough since it was made fresh. However, the result was disappointing and we were all very sad to see the dough wasn’t as chewy as it used to be and toppings were bare minimum :(:( Did we go back since then?? No. Sadly we were just completely disappointed with quality of pizza. It used to have chewy and crispy crust. But now it was just like any other Megabite joint pizza. Hopefully I will be able to taste their old pizza again in near future. I wish they open another pizza place else where and I will make the trip to try them. I am sure the new owners are trying their best to keep up the standard and quality of old owner but sadly it is just not good enough for me to come back and it is obvious that other patrons feel the same way as I see old pizza sitting on the display.

Worst delivery service ever! Waited almost an hour...and not worried about that because Friday is a busy night and then I get THE PHONE CALL. I am at your house...where are you? Um...at my house. Well my GPS says I am at your address (goes downstairs to make sure I have not missed anything - unlikely with a Ring Video doorbell) Surprise! No one there. Call driver back and explain that they are not at my house only to be told that, yes they are according to the GPS. I suggested they try Google Maps. Gave them 10 more minutes to arrive. Called the driver. Said forget it, the pizza is cold by now...but the GPS says I am at your house and you are not here...sigh...tell them I am refusing the order. Call the restaurant and tell them what happened and that I have refused the order (and also, we almost order weekly with no issues...why now?) and say I told the driver I was refusing the order (thank goodness I did not pay in advance). 10 minutes later...driver is laying on the doorbell. In this market, we have lots of great pizza to choose from. Stop scraping the bottom of the barrel for delivery drivers. You have lost us as regular customers. And the pizza is good, but not exceptional so not...

We had pizza from Megabite and thoroughly enjoyed it so the next time we wanted pizza we called in an order. After 1 hour and 40 minutes, the pizza hadn't arrived and when we called, were told we had never ordered it. Then they told us that we had made a mistake when we ordered it and they cancelled it. They were the MOST DISCOURTEOUS staff we have ever dealt with. We asked to have the Manager call us and he NEVER called. It seemed that the staff member had made a mistake and wanted to blame it on the customer.

Fast forward 3 months - we tried to order a pizza and were told we were BLOCKED from ordering pizza from their establishment! For the record, we aren't teenagers running a scam, we are actually seniors and are HORRIFIED at how badly we have been treated.

Do yourself a favor, DO NOT EVER ORDER A PIZZA FROM THIS PLACE! ALSO, IF THERE WERE A "MINUS STAR RATING", THAT'S WHAT MEGABITE...
