Service 1/10 Food 6/10 Atmosphere 7/10 Cleanliness 9/10
Went here on a Thursday night with my wife for dinner. There were a couple other tables with patrons. We asked a few questions about the menu items then decided on the red chicken curry and the cashew chicken. As other tables started filling up people were waiting quite some time to have their orders taken. The service was inconsistent at best. Some customers were asked how spicy they wanted their food and others were not. One group of 3 customers shared a single dish (I’m assuming due to pricing). We did note that customers who came after us were receiving their food before us even though we had ordered well before them. Total time to get 2 dishes was 45-50 minutes. Good thing we weren’t in a hurry. We found the food mediocre and definitely not spicy. We asked the server if they had sambal. The server literally barked at us with an unnecessary chip on her shoulder, “NO! what is that?!?”. After a brief explanation that it’s a red sauce with chili flakes she brought us chili oil with no chilies. When we explained that wasn’t what we had asked for she then begrudgingly brought over dried chili seeds. It wasn’t worth more effort from us. We made due with what they had. The food is no better than other Thai food restaurants we’ve been to however service speaks volumes and we won’t be...
Read moreThis place is small, and overall the food was good and the server was nice.
However, at the end I have to give this a 1 Star because I am a vegetarian and I ordered a Drunken Vegetable Noodle which is on the menu, not an alteration. But they ended up giving me a chicken noodle dish and I actually had the chicken in my mouth! To me this type of mistake is not really acceptable in a restaurant because if I was actually allergic to something and they accidentally gave me something the wrong food that would have been devastating. Not to mention I have not eaten meat in 30 years.
I let the server know that my food had chicken in there and he apologize and said we can keep That dish for free. But I don't want the dish for free, I don't want to eat meat so this is a huge mistake for me. I was not very happy at all.
After that I had to give him my plates that had chicken in there. + I had to give him my fork as well because it touched the meat, and he didn't and give me back a fork and spoon. I had to ask for new utensils.
I think the server is very nice but he's not very good and attentive.
The reason I checked this place out was because the Thai restaurant I like, Ma Now Thai kitchen was closed in the middle of the day. I won't be coming back to this one due to...
Read moreI was fortunate enough to win a free sticky rice with ice cream dessert from an Instagram Giveaway contest. We went out to Thai Coco to claim my prize and decided to try their restaurant out for dinner while we were at it. We ordered:
Sticky Thai Chicken Wings Pineapple Fried Rice Vegetable Green Curry Coconut Iced Coffee Sticky Rice with Mango ice cream
The flavour of the Green Curry was absolutely delish! My husband loved the Sticky Thai Chicken Wings and Pineapple Fried Rice. This place is our new favourite for local Thai Food. Only wish it were a bit closer for us to get to!
The Coconut Iced Coffee tasted more of Coconut than Coffee. We really couldn't taste any coffee flavor in it. It was a very unique Iced Coffee and while we didn't taste any coffee it was still a very enjoyable beverage.
Sticky Rice with Mango ice cream was the main reason we came to this restaurant and it did not disappoint! I never would have imagined that one could get so much enjoyment from a dessert with rice in it, but we absolutely loved this dessert!
