I recently dined at this restaurant with a pregnant friend, and the experience was beyond disappointing. To start, we were served spoiled squid, which is completely unacceptable, especially for someone who is pregnant.
After we told the server, they offered a discount as a form of compensation. However, when they got wind of our intention to report this incident to the health department, they shamefully retracted the discount. They said they are being generous and take our intention to report as a threat. Also, they emphasize that we have to be responsible for what we order, but we didn’t expect to get the spoiled food. To make matters worse, they even summoned the police to coerce us into paying the full amount. And they take away the dishes but never serve us a new one, so basically we paid full price for nothing.
This level of disregard for both customer well-being and basic ethics is inexcusable. It's disheartening to see such a blatant lack of responsibility and accountability from the management. I strongly advise anyone, especially those who are pregnant or have health concerns, to steer clear of this establishment.
The blatant disregard for food safety and the mistreatment of patrons is simply unacceptable. I have already reported this incident to the local health department, and I hope they take the necessary steps to rectify...
Read moreI have been going to the restaurant for the past 10 years now. The food here feels very nostalgic to me. The service is always great. The manager and the workers always greet with a friendly smile. It really feels like home here.
My favourite menu is definitely the 만두 칼국수 (dumpling noodle soup) or the 순대국 (soondae soup). Sometimes our family gets the pre made soondae soup or gamjatang to make it at home. Their broth is smooth, hearty, nostalgic, and rich in flavour. You can really tell that love has been poured in the the recipe and the flavour hasn't changed since the first time I've been here. They make their noodles and dumplings in house so the texture and the bouncy ness is unmatched.
This is my go to restaurant when I want something familiar, nostalgic, hearty, and good. I think I might have an emotional attachment with the mandu kalguksu because it just feels like a warm hug after a rainy day. Please try it 🥰💝
Oh and their side dish is really good (i love their gamja jorim in particular) so you know this...
Read moreThe one lady serving my food was rude. I ordered the pork and kimchi tofu soup but she wrote down seafood instead. When I got the food, I noticed it wasn’t the item I ordered so I asked her if she could give me the food I initially ordered. She told me that I ordered the seafood but I absolutely HATE seafood. I would never order seafood anything. She was lucky I’m not allergic to it. She was also adamant that I was wrong and that she was right. She became super rude and ignored our table the whole time afterwards. She refused to take the food back and remake my order. I only took a sip of the soup before telling her she got the order wrong. Had to pay for the food I barely ate. Never been treated this way at restaurant before.
The reason I gave them 2 stars is because the other food and the side dishes were good. I would have definitely went back if it wasn’t for the poor...
