Frosted Flour Co. — Restaurant in Port Hope

I recently moved to PH from the city, as a pastry chef and some frequently visit pastry shops in Toronto, I have to say that I am beyond impressed with the quality of this small bakery. Their stock and variety of desserts are incredibly large. All looks well organized and clean. The place is very small and there was a line to get in when I visited (there is no dine-in area) we felt a little pressure to order just because there were more people behind us, but the service was very fast and polite. We tried the tiramisu cookie, blueberry pancake, maple bacon and sparkling donut. They were amazing! Especially the blueberry pancake donut was a dream of flavours and was perfectly made with, a good ratio of topping and cream, cream and custards are delicious. The Tiramisu cookie was soft and tasty! Better than most famous bakeries in the city.

So if you are visiting Port Hope or haven't tried this spot, you should do it.

Recently moved to Port Hope and my husband discovered this gem in December. He was driving around town getting the lay of the land and came across Frosted Flour Co. so he went in. He bought a 6 pack of doughnuts and brought them home - we were hooked! I immediately went online to find out more about this bakery. We have been back several times since and have not been disappointed. The service has always been wonderful - super friendly - you aren't treated like an assembly line even when they are busy (and they are usually busy). Everything we've tried so far has been delicious but the macarons are the BEST I have ever tasted in...

I randomly came across this bakery while visiting family in Port Hope. Now I make special trips, 40 mins, in order to grab some delicious baked goods! From cookie sandwiches, to banana bread and the INCREDIBLE donuts...there is nothing I've tried that isn't absolutely amazing! They have themed Saturdays which make it even more fun. There can be quite a line up on Saturdays as everyone else has found this gem of a bakery!
