Stumbled upon Queenie’s Bakery while visiting Port Hope. So happy I did! Passionate baker, Adam, was so warm, welcoming and hospitable. Chantelle, the bakery’s barista and front of the house server, is a ray of sunshine and was so helpful! Now for the BAKED GOODS…elevated in all categories! Flavour, freshness, execution, presentation and size! I had to share so I returned the next day and picked up more of the Easter cupcakes - chocolate cake with soft almost fondant icing with freshly grated coconut sprinkled on top and decorated with Cadbury mini eggs! They were so delicious. I stopped by my place of work enroute to home to drop them off for our team. They went bananas and ate them all almost as soon as the beautiful box opened! Adam’s Hello Dollies, Nanaimo Bars and Pecan, caramel chocolate squares are all so delicious too. Brought these goodies home too. The Chai Tea with almond milk can easily go toe to toe with Starbucks’ version. I plan on preordering more goodies for Easter. Thanks for the Port Hope hospitality Adam and Chantelle!

My son and I stopped by this morning for a mid-exploring snack. We had some delicious cupcakes and enjoyed sitting outside. Staff was very friendly and the cupcakes were gooood!

Updating as we had another fantastic experience here. Honestly Adam, you are the best. I called ahead and asked for special cupcakes with hearts on them for a special occasion. Adam came thru for me. And those cupcakes... so light, not overly sweet. Delicious! Whenever in Port Hope, we always go to Queenie's for lunch & treats... get a box to take back to Toronto. See you again!

Everything here is soooooo good!!! Literally everything! We're from Toronto and let me tell you, nothing in our big city rivals Queenie's. The food is excellent quality, great portions & fair prices. We had the bars: Nanaimo, Hello Dolly, Lemon Squares... each one is excellent. We went back to get more. We had the sandwiches: chicken salad, pork roast, grilled chicken... top notch! All the ingredients are fresh, nice blend of flavours. Sooooo good! We had the pastries: butter tarts, pecan square & my favourite... chocolate cinnamon danish roll (to think we tried this by accident because we bought a day old). The flaky pastry is light, not overly buttery. So glad this is a 1 hr drive from my home. Just writing this review, I'm craving more. Our new Port Hope tradition, grab lunch at Queenie's, buy a dozen treats to pack in my cooler to bring home (to tide me over til our...

Coffee and iced coffee were good but the service left a lot to be desired. I asked for a regular coffee, turns out that means cream and sugar IN the coffee (I meant coffee, not an americano or latté, etc). The girl behind the counter seemed rather annoyed when I asked for the sugar and noticed that the coffee had cream in it. The person I was ordering for doesn't consume dairy... "but you said regular..." I felt really awkward - what was I supposed to say? I just informed her I wasn't a local (maybe it's a local thing?). I've never had this issue before. I was totally ignored while I paid, left after waiting to get my receipt (never got it), told the girl to have a nice day, she was too busy talking to the customer behind me, telling him about his (previously given) order. Needless to say, my order for coffee and sandwiches for the road was changed to just coffee. I went elsewhere to get sandwiches. We won't be going back when we return...
