Haven't been in here for a while and its not really doing very good. Right at noon today there weren't alot of tables filled but we had to wait for bartender to get us a seat. Fine they looked kind of unorganized everything cant always be perfect. After we sat down finally a girl comes out of the back and brings menu's but after that 3 other groups came in, got seated and ordered before anyone came back to ask if we wanted a drink or to order. My wife was ready to leave and we really should have. Before someone even came to take drink/ food order a table that came in after us got their orders! Finally got to order drinks and our food and drinks sat on bar for 15 minutes after bartender poured, he finally brought them over but all the while waitresses meandering about looking like there's a gas leak in the back and all were on the verge of c02 poisoning.    Read moreThe only reason why I am leaving 3 stars is because of the excellent service. Had there not been excellent staff to help accommodate my requests I would have left probably 2 to 1 stars.
The big problem I think is the food, And from what I've been told these are still using the Chef from original Joe's when it was still open. I had ordered steak and sent it back twice due to it being undercooked, which I don't find it difficult to cook a steak medium rare. Most of us know how to do it so I presume professionals would as well. I was also told that the stake was frozen and the portion did not look like 7 oz.
You can find out a lot about a restaurant by ordering a steak, It is practically impossible to mess up a steak. Now I also understand that this restaurant has just opened, so it won't be the last time I come back. But I really hope that they can fix whatever the issue is in...
   Read moreI don't want to be mean spirited about this place, because it's not a bad place. I will say that the food quality is not terrible, but also not at a level I would expect having had brunch at their flagship location. I can't say horrible food, just not good enough for the price and reputation.
Atmosphere, I would suggest has not found it's happy place since it's opened. Patio wasn't open that day, which I always felt was a big part of the CrossRoads brand. Very dark inside.
My sincerest hope is that with the unfortunate fire at the downtown location, there will be some extra attention put on this location and CH CrossRoads will find a bit more of the magic that made DT Croosroads such a special place. I really do wish them...
