Edo Japan — Restaurant in Prince George

This location was out of brown rice, and made my order with white, had they let me know before leaving that would have been fine. However nothing was mentioned, and when I went back in to have the order fixed I was told they were out, and one staff member argued with me saying I needed to let them know if I wanted brown

I did. Specifically when I selected brown rice as an option when ordering online.

When I asked for a refund (and returned the food) the staff doubled down on telling me I was wrong etc etc.

A simple heads.up when I picked up would have been amazing, or even if they hadn't argued with me.

Used to frequent this Edo weekly, but I can't leave a good review anymore. The quality has severely dropped over the last few months and it's my understanding that there is a relatively new owner.

I worked at the other location in town for 5 years, so I know what to expect when ordering. It's standard now at this location to receive old, dry rice mixed in with your fresh rice, and portions sizes are very inconsistent. I order the same thing every time and it's always a different size.

It's unfortunate that if I want Edo now that I need to go out of my way to the other location, but I can't justify purchasing from this...

The place is DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY. Look at the handle of the front door, hasn’t been cleaned ever. Drip marks on every chair, bench and counter. Every square inch of this place is sticky. Grime everywhere. Bathrooms are nasty. The soy sauce and hot sauce bottles were so gross I used a napkin to touch them. Can only IMAGINE what the kitchen is like. The staff were sitting out front in the dining room on their phones. ‘Time to lean you got time to clean’ lol. Puke! Honestly can’t beleive I just put that food in me! Never again. Grab a mop...
