My vegan friend and I went to A & W at about 1 am. This branch is open until around 3 am, and as a midnight restaurant, the cleanness was adequate. Both driveway and restaurant were not crowded. The sandwiches were delicious (potatoes with skin are yummier and crispier than the regular ones), and nothing was missed. This fast food chain restaurant has a vegetarian/vegan option, a highly positive point of their restaurant. You can serve your ketchup with packets. The other impressive point was the mood and manner of the cashier and other staff. It should be mentioned that this restaurant has indoor and outdoor seats to sit and enjoy your meals in this pleasant summertime. You can see their menu and prices in the other images. The soft drink didn't have ice, which is a substantial drawback. I requested some cubes, but they stated they don't have any!

Read moreAbsolutely horrendous experience dealing with the manager and drive thru attendant. Our first day in Quebec City, we drove to a & w for dinner and tried to order my son a cheeseburger without a bun (he has a gluten allergy). My French is rusty but the drive thru attendant kept getting frustrated with us trying to place the order and couldn’t figure out our needs. She then called the manager over, who was even more rude than the attendant. Totally horrific service and experience, I emailed head office to let them know their level of service but never heard back. In the end, they handed us a meat patty wrapped in lettuce. When I asked for the cheese, they got even more angry and handed me a cold slice of cheese. The kicker was when I asked for it to be melted on the patty, they yelled at me and told me they couldn’t help me anymore and to leave. Legit, all I wanted was a cheeseburger for my son...
Read moreDrive-thru experience was abysmal. My son is celiac, and we tried to order simply a buddy burger pattie with cheese. No onions, no bun, no sauces. We've had numerous locations in Montreal do this without any issues. At this location? Took forever to even understand us (my wife spoke in French, they basically refused to speak in English, even saying "we only speak French here"... in English btw). And ended with the drive-thru attendant literally leaning out the window screaming her head off at us, because we weren't happy they gave us a semi-cold pattie, wrapped in lettuce, and a stone cold piece of cheese after the fact. I nearly went inside and screamed right back, but that might have given off the wrong message to my 8yr old sitting in...
