Regal Kreyol Resto — Restaurant in Quebec

Update: The owner reached out after seeing the review and said it was not acceptable that I received the food like that, and would like to make it up by replacing the meal. I did not accept because a review must be unbiased. I have since been back to Quebec City two different occasions and ordered through Uber eats so I was like anyone else ordering no freebies. I must say the two times there was a definite change in portion size and salade, still more fat on the griot than expected docked a point for that . I changed there rating to 4* since they made the effort to make their business better across the board .

a few words!

Griot- portions on the small side,more fat than meat see picture. rice and plantain was good but very expensive for what you get at 15.00.

Cabrit- very small portions , rice and plantain was okay but very expensive for what you get at $17.50.

I cant recommend this place...

This restaurant is a disgrace to what is known as delicious dining in Quebec. My chicken thigh was obviously refried in oil at least twice. Did not receive sticky rice as ordered. My friend ordered the legume dish which was served with the toughest pieces of meat imaginable; when addressed she was told the legume dish was only cooked and served this way. The waitress was nothing less than rude and dismissive to the point of stating the restaurant was unable to provide napkins.

The lighting was so dim it was difficult to discern if the chicken was pink because of the light and/or if it was...

Dont go there! This is a rip off. The food is horrible and costs twice as much as is usuable in Quebec. The staff is very unkind. Positive was, that I got a place immediately. No wonder, I was the single guest in this "restaurant". To be honest: this is a juke joint. It strikes me, that this place has a lot of 5 star ratings, and quite a lot of 1 star ratings. But very few in between. So I wonder, if this 5 star ratings might be all fake? I...
