I never learn.
I've had 4/4 for bad experiences or straight up mistakes on simple orders here.
Every time it happens I wait a few weeks and give it another shot because I live nearby and I really like A&W. And every time something happens that reminds me why I waited so long to try again.
In no particular order, I've had: -To wait over 30 minutes stuck in the lineup and then an additional 10 minutes in the parking lot with only 4 vehicles ahead of me. -I've waited for over 15 minutes at the window watching the employee slowly putting lids on the drinks for what I assume was the huge lineup behind me while I was only waiting on 1 momma burger... Not even acknowledging the wait time or helping out the cook who is obviously struggling to fill orders. asked for a diet coke, and then confirmed again that I wanted a diet coke... Received root beer. -waiting in the parking lot for my order and receiving it only to find that the food was all cold. What was I even waiting on? Chicken wrap was cold and torn up with the sauce all over the bag.
I usually only put the effort into writing positive reviews where I want to share a good experience with those on the fence about visiting a location. But I guess this is more of a warning. Unless this place makes a drastic change....there's an A&W down 67th Street that is worth the 5...
Read moreMy Wife, daughter and I stop in there last night to grab dinner, when we arrived the Lady that was taking our order was great, the problem my wife and I had was that this lady ( brown hair in a pony tail with the drive through headset) cleaning vents in the celling with some sort of cleaning solution with a narrow brush, right over the area where the food was placed and over the cooking station for the fries. Belive me I am all about cleansiness, but the problem I have is that it was right over were our food was being placed and when my wife and I said something about it the lady doing the cleaning work, stopped and was giving us drity looks like we where the ones doing something wrong, and while were sitting eating our dinner we could hear her talking about us. (Small restaurant) I work in a seniors home with a comercail kitchen, that type of work is done when the kitchen is closed and is cleaned after hours, not while you are serving food. I wish I had my phone to take a picture, to send to AHS inspector. Very...
Read moreI went through the drive through at around 9:30 Am and asked if I could get my hash browns made fresh as I often get old ones there. (There was also no one else in the line behind me) They had no problem with it and the interaction with the cashier was pleasant. I went to drive away and went to take a bite of my hash brown and when I tell you this hash brown looked like a four day old grease soaked 10 times fried piece of cardboard that I nearly broke my tooth on I was super disappointed. So I went back through and said that I had no problem waiting for them to be made fresh… the cashier (William I think) was again super pleasant but the old lady in the back cooking sure came out hot yelling at me. There was no need for her less than pleasant attitude it made the whole situation worse and frankly I won’t be coming back to this location. Your Cashier needs a raise because he was great at navigating the conversation… I think you need to find yourself better...
