I just recently moved here to Red Deer, and have had nothing but bad experiences with this location. I have only gone there 3 times, and will not return, but they have yet to get a drive thru order correct, and the customer service is below par for sure. On my last visit, I ordered a regular chili with a white bun. A very simple order. I checked the bag when they gave me my order (as they never get it right), and there was this half chunk of bread in the bag. I returned the chunk of bread and asked for a complete white bun (as is always provided at any other Tim's I have been to in either BC or Alberta). They refused, and said they only gave a 1/2 bun with chili. I told the cashier that this was unacceptable to me, as they were charging the same price for the meal as all other Tim's, but weren't providing the full meal that all the others provided. They still refused to provide a full bun unless I wanted to pay extra. The manager would not even come to the window when I asked for them, they just told the cashier to say no. So, I told them to give me my money back, and I returned the meal. It took them 10 minutes to accomplish the return. I felt bad holding up the folks behind me in drive-thru, but I was just not willing to pay full price for a meal I was only getting a portion of. A bun may be a small thing to most, but it is my favorite part of the meal, and I felt cheated. With the lack of response from the manager I called head office to relay my experience. They didn't seem to understand the '1/2 bun' thing either, and confirmed that there was no new practice in place for that. So I will not return to Tim's, and I hope that the head office actually does something about it. Cheaping out while still charging full price is not...
Read moreThe ABSOLUTE WORST tim Hortons in the city. They NEVER have any selection and god forbid you order something on the app because every single time, their are items that are never available (yet they take your money and offer you some shitty replacement item you didn’t want and is lower priced than what I ordered).
Please explain to me how you’re out of EVERYTHING, day or night. Whoever the “manager” of this Tim’s is clueless and should be fired. They obviously have no idea what they are doing, just collecting a pay cheque I guess.
This is no word of a lie but every single time we go there, they don’t have basic items like timbits, donuts, chicken, BREAD etc. like seriously????
Whats the point of even using the app to order food when it’s never there. Food not there = shouldn’t be available to order.
Useless Tim Hortons. You’ll never see a dime of my money ever again.
P.S. - ordered hot and cold food over the weekend at 6:30 PM and surprise surprise “oh sorry we are out of the five of the seven items you ordered”. Waited 15 minutes in a drive through just to get a refund. That was the last straw (id be surprised if you even carried straws actually)
Oh and I’m not surprised at all to see similar reviews from other customers. And also I totally agree on how the staff are clueless and always cut you off and say “is that everything, is that everything”. Chill out and stop talking and listen and I’ll tell you when my order is done. FFS!
Dear “Tim Hortons guest team” - don’t waste your time asking for more information to “make it right”. Just don’t bother.
Starbucks is way better than this...
Read moreI've never had an issue with drinks at this location (a basic iced black coffee or ice capp), but they always seem to be out of all food options and even when given options for replacement, I somehow still get the wrong order more often than not. This has happened numerous times, but since this location is close by and doesn't cost a lot, I've just let it go and eaten whatever I was given.
Normally I wouldn't bother leaving negative reviews, especially when I've chosen to keep going back despite the constant issues, but today when I asked for two chocolate chip muffins, I was told they only had carrot and fruit explosion (only having 2 muffin options at 5pm is something else!). I opted for fruit explosion as the replacement and as I was in the drive-thru, I only checked to make sure there were two muffins before driving away.
Just went to grab one now and discovered one fruit explosion and one banana muffin. Not only was that not listed as one of the options to me, I am allergic to bananas. Had I not caught on and eaten it, I would be suffering through a bad reaction right now. And because it was crammed in the same bag as the other muffin, I now have 2 muffins that I paid for but cannot eat.
If you don't have the options you gave the customer previously, don't just give them whatever and hope they can't be bothered to mention it!
Needless to say, despite the convenience of this location, I have finally had enough of the wrong order and will never be stopping...
