I frequent this restaurant on a weekly or bi-monthly basis with my adult daughter. We have the dinner for one (butter chicken, samosa, rice, garlic naan). My daughter does not have the palate for spicy food and I am beginning to tend toward less spicy myself. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food does take some time to arrive, but not an excessive amount of time, particularly if you wish to converse and have a drink before the food arrives. The food has always been very good, served nice and hot to the table, paced to match our consumption. We are always asked how we wish our dishes prepared (mild, med, spicy) and they are always as ordered. We always feel comfortable and at ease and never rushed, even though we sometimes see that it is becoming very busy. I have enjoyed Indian food in India, Africa Canada and the US and this is the best, except for a place in Accra, Ghana of all places. I regularly recommend this restaurant to my friends and associates and will...
Read moreFood quality was average. I decide to give only one star due to lack of service and making us feel that they are obliging by serving us food and it's our problem if they forgot the order and could not serve the order in time. Inspite of repeated reminder had to wait for rice and daal for at least half an hour and at this time there were not any customer in dinning area. Employee behavior was very rude and unacceptable for the service. As I also own the franchisee restaurant and know very well what the customer service is. In spite of accepting their mistakes, they don't want to own the same. Very unethical business approach. The excuses given that they were very busy, shortage of man power, etc. is immaterial for the customer sitting inside the restaurant. Any customer expects hood service and return of the money and good family time enjoying dinner.. Hope the owner can think to improve. Otherwise, such an employee will for sure turn the...
Read moreWhenever me and my family used to Dine in, the food has been the best in the city but after COVID19 this was our first time takeout order from our used to be the favourite resturant, not anymore favourite ( probably never visiting Flavours of India again ). The Daal Makhni was just like Maa ki daal not Daal Makhni, Malai Kofta was served in Shahi Paneer's gravy ( pathetic ), the quantity and the size of Chhole Bhature was shrunked big time, waste of money. Looks like there is no professional chef in the resturant anymore, the owner or a family member is cooking the exact home made food we get in our kitchen's.
I've been in Regina for more than 5 years and me and my family has always loved enjoying dining at Flavours of India and the taste of every dish was very poor in the take out as compare to dine in...
